CC: I figured that what you meant by your initial complaint was... you wanted to have the smiley selection thingy open in one window all the time, then use it for all your other reply windows. So you'd have to switch between the smiley window and your reply windows.

Yes, I have the smiley window open in another window, but it had opened into an entirely different window and isn't even affected when I close all the browser tabs on this window! So, the only siwtching I'd have to do is click on the smiley. I'd attach a screenshot to show you, but I have trouble compressing it to below 100KB. And no, irfanview doesn't run Linux-native.

No tiled windows, but a 17-inch LCD scraan that's large enough to have a tabbed Firefox on one side and the Smilie-window on the other side, besides the tabbed Firefox.

CC: Ah, you kinda left out that part. But for us normal folk who surf with maximized windows it would involve switching, and thus the menu is easier.

What res does a 17" LCD run, anyway? Since most websites go for at least 800px wide screens, I'm assuming you have a res over 1600px wide to avoid major annoyance?

Yes, well, I'm not that good at chess either. Anyway, I just resized the screendump a bit with GIMP, and now its size is below 100Kb so let's see how this looks...

What res does a 17" LCD run, anyway? Since most websites go for at least 800px wide screens, I'm assuming you have a res over 1600px wide to avoid major annoyance?

Since I'm having a wee bit of a problem with my graphics card (no drivers), I have to stick with the standard ones, and thus my highest res is 1280x1024. And when I try to install the driver that is suggested on the graphics card manufacturer-site, Yast2 stalls, and when I try to reboot KDE can't load anymore, so I have to re-install Linux (which I just did).
