The NEW Perils of Rosella!

Yes, and I'm sorry for the disappointment, I didn't want to have it turn out exactly this way    All the bad stuff had to come first in Chapter II and there will be a specific path to follow, as each location will yield an item that will get you to/into the next location, and thus keep Rosella alive (for a little while anyway  )  So, for anyone reading, saying "what the heck is she DOING with this story!?" fear not, things will pull together in the next phase of postings.  More meaty story elements, more Jenna, more Edgar, and more Lolotte...    So please stay with me

Hey Rosellafan, this is a great text adventure but I am having lots of trouble with it. I cannot figure out the pattern. I am having a very hard time getting Rosella to give the poor fisherman and his wife the diamonds like I want her to. I can't seem to reach ch3. Is there a chapter 3? Do you plan on finishing this?

Thanks Rosedragon for the comments.  I'll try to clarify all your questions, as I'm sure you're not the only one.  The weird thing about my story is that it's a work in progress which means there's a lot you can do now, and a lot you can't do.  Right now, Rosella doesn't have a way to really accomplish ANYthing in Chapter II ...yet.  You are correct in that there is a pattern to the 9 locations of Chapter II.  An item will be located which will lead the way/solve/access each next location for another item, allowing the player to navigate safely through the 9 locations of Chapter II.  Up until now, the player has only been privy to what i hope are "enjoyable" "amusing" ends  As for finishing my story?  Absolutely 100%  If there's one thing you can count on, it's an update every few weeks with new pages and illustrations, and the next wave will give way to more about the fairy Jenna, Edgar, and even Lolotte.  We'll just find out who's side Jenna is on, and if Edgar is the nice guy he was supposed to be, and what of Lolotte?  Is she the big bad witch?  Hmmm... So please stay with me and let me know what you've liked and not liked so far.  I'll do my best to crank out the next batch of pages soon to keep this story cookin!  Enjoy, and thank you again for reading and writing me

Okay, finally updated again.  It was partially a maintenance update (hopefully fixed those pesky little problems about wanting to give items and stuff) and kinda continued the story a little.  Plus added a saucy new image    Anyhoo, let me know what you all think.  Thanks

Your story is coming along well. I had fun discovering what was in the chest beneath the ocean. I thought it would be Lolotte's heart. I wonder how Rosella will use this object, if there is something inside it. If you want to read a good story about Rosella and Edgar, read my Daventry's Children fanfic.

Thanks for the compliments guys  I like that idea about Lolotte's heart inside the chest, just cool and creepy enough to work for my "semi" dark natured story  Anyhoo, I had fun writing to ocean scene.  And rest assured, the seemingly flatness of finding a dead fish is not JUST a dead fish    ...but you'll have to wait and see about that    ...and yes, I welcome any and all artwork/illustration/ideas for my story/website.  As much as I enjoy the perils, I want the readers to enjoy the experience  Oh, and yes, very good job w/ Daventry's Children, Rosedragon!  It's a splendidly crafted tale!

Thanks, rosellafan. I'm finally at the quest stage, where the remaining heroes go on their seperate quests to cure King Graham and Queen Valanice, and to rescue Cassima and Rosella and Edgar. Will the bad guys win? How will our outnumbered and outpowered heroes defeat the villains so they can live happily ever after? FInd out in the coming chapters.

"Semi-dark natured," You mean you actually don't want blood, gore, war, sex, drugs and classical music (okay, the classical music bit only works for "A Clockwork Orange," but still...)

Mind you, anything too dark and lurid would drive away potential fans! My stuff is all "black," in nature and you either take it or leave it!

Still, good to see rosellfan is still toiling away on her "game," I know others who simply get bored and quit by this stage (not saying you don't have the willpower to carry on, on the contrary, but I have  known a few attempts crumble at this stage due to lack of enthusiasm, good to see you have maintained yours!) (That still sounds like a negative comment doesn't it!)

Impressive story! I've always wanted to make a choose your own adventure kind of thing...

There's one really impressive online choose your own adventure but it's very religious so I don't know if the link is postable... >.< Great piece of work all the same.

You know, I was going to write my own choose your own adventure, it was not tied to any game but was about an orphaned peasant farm girl named Cordelia finding and falling in love with a banished prince, loosing him and having to search for her missing prince.

Phew!  I'll bet everyone thought I had given up on my Choose Your Own Adventure take on the Perils of Rosella!  Well despite some motivational blues, I've updated once again with several new pages and a new illustration.  The whole story seems to be taking a more grim turn.  I hope it's all still to your liking

Thanks, Koko!  I try to throw a FEW loops in there for those who know the old game and think they can just breeze through based on that without getting a scratch on poor Rosella    Hence the "NEW" perils    Anyways, keep our princess out of trouble, as difficult as I may make that
