Actually they also make good frisbees...me and my brothers when we were younger would take them out and throw them at each other or try to bounce them off of walls like Xena did ;)

Actually I got one in the mail the other day.

Yeah, they do make good frisbees. XD

Rob, you're lucky. :P

AOL is an annoying way of using the internet, and they send CDs with their software on it, wherever they're able to.

Jeysie

I started out on the Net using AOL. :P Fortunately now I use AT&T Worldnet, which kicks butt. Although Harrison and I are thinking of switching soon to Verizon DSL 'cause, well, it's DSL.

*sees 20 years into the future*

The so called "broadband" connections, are commonplace, and considered slow. Now the lucky few that are able to get it, have REAL broadband connections.

All the while, I'm using my ancient 56k connection. Still wondering, WHY DOES MY NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOR HAVE BROADBAND, AND IT'S NOT AVAILABLE IN MY AREA!? :P

B'rrr

I had the same problem. a neigbour 300 metres away had dsl and noone would supply it where i live  :-\ :-\ ...o well, those days are gone now  8) :D

ugh AOL discs we get at least 3 a month, such a waste!

About BB of the future, Korea and Japan have uber super fast connections of like 20 Mb/s which cost the same as our 512K ones here! Its so not fair! Stupid Margret Thatcher stymying the growth of a broadband infrastructure  :furious:

From what I hear, you European folk are still better off with your broadband in terms of availability and pricing than we are here in the US. I think, anyway.

That's because we're too spread out.

It's easier, and cheaper, to sell broadband in places like London, than places like Rocky Branch.

Reason I think Japan has cheaper prices on average=Tokyo

Yonkey

I got cable as soon as it was available in my area.  I think I had to wait a few weeks, but once we got it I became hooked for life.  ;D

One of these days, aliens will attack the earth and the only defense against them will be CD-ROMS. And everyone will be sorry that they got rid of the AOL discs because now they have to use their other CDs to kill the aliens.

Would really old & crappy music CD's work against the aliens?  ???

Jafar

Maybe. Give it a shot next time you see them.

I think Jafar has a good idea, with one flaw.

Instead of launching AOL CDs at them, let's just send the AOL Cds to them. After the first couple of million, they'll decide the Earth's not worth bothering with.

The one flaw with my plan=they might decide to destroy the Earth, to save the universe from the evil AOL Cds. XD
