Glad to hear of your success!  Hope you enjoy yourself!  ;D

(BTW, when you say your grammer lecturer is in the delta, is he actually in the Nile/Niger delta or is that just a joke, sorry, its just I have never heard of a globe trotting university lecturer before, thought they were simply too lazy and acedemic for such things!)

SHE could be in the delta, i know one of my lecturers was in the delta

steve was at his site Zawiyet Umm el-Rakham this summer i think, only got bk the other week. and also started the Western Delta Survey, locating the site of Sais where a Liverpool graduate now excavates for the Society.

but liz is a member of the British Museum Expedition to Kom Firin, an important temple and settlement site in the Western Delta, and participates in the Oxford Expedition to Egypt mission to the mastaba of Kagemni in Saqqara. so i guess she could be there...

i know mark collier (one of my main lecturers has a site i think) plus steven snape at the top is my archaeology lecturer.

most of them go to their sites, coz we are using their findings etc as our case studies.

"SHE could be in the delta, i know one of my lecturers was in the delta"

Well I am sorry, it was just simpler to put HE rather than try to restructure the sentance for duplex gender terminology. How was I supposed to know?  :(

It seems that your lecturers seem to do useful things with their lives. I am glad to hear about it. I have extremely low opinions on those who learn for learnings sake and do not wish to make useful gain from their knowledge (that is my problem so if you disagree, just ignore me!) What university to you go to by the way?

Well not really. What I meant was those who do NOTHING with that knowledge. Sure you may know all about prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells and the vital differences between them. But if you learn that for the sheer sake of learning it (not even because you are interested in it), so you can say to someone "I know more than you do," then that is what gets me (that is what I really meant anyway). Mind you, my deep seated dislike against universities doesn't help matters much!   ;)

University of Liverpool eh? Well, I guess that was the obvious title to go for!  ;)
