Keeping up with posts

I don't use e-mail notifications... if a thread is important enough for me to e-mail myself about it, I'd probably remember to check it out anyway. Not to mention that I check the forum more often than I do my mailbox

i don't use the notifications either... i used it the first week, but my mailbox keeps beeing spammed by those emails ; ( ....and i like to read them all anyways so there is no use for that ; )

Last week (two weeks?) I got two notification mails for threads I did not subscribe to. On the first one however the notification option was ON, so I removed it. What's strange though is that on the second one when I clicked on 'Notify' it told me the option was OFF! Oh and BTW, why was the forum off-line between 10.30 and 11.00 PM somewhere in the last half of last week (or was that the week before, anyway, it happend at a time I wanted to check a notify so it can't have been more than two weeks ago.)

The whole site was off for me too for about a day. It also happened to Fatali for a short time.

if you encounter problems you may want to contact Say or Yonkey, so they can fix it ; )

btw the site was indeed off line, but it was kinda good, cuz i got lots of sleep that night (unlike tonight ; )

Nowdays I don't even get to read every thread, let alone answer them, so on the off-topic section I usually just ignore the threads with non-descriptive titles (all the "What the...", "woot" etc.) and madness threads (usually those with titles containing the words "asylum", "Mango" and conjugations of the words "sane"). Sometimes I just click on them to make the "new" icons disappear

I also try not to revive old threads - I try not to post  on threads on page 3 and up, even if they're just a couple of days old and I have something to say, as there are too many active threads as it is

I don't revive threads that are 'dead', i.e. with no new posts since my last visit. But other than that, I don't mind replying to new posts on page 3. Then again, I only 'manage' the off-topic forum anyways.

It was in the kq9.org section, not Forum Suggestions.    Anyway, it was some problem with the Apache server.  I don't know specifically what went wrong, but that's what I heard from Say.

Ofcourse a mod is a bit more up-to-date about the location of certain threads.
