B'rrr

what about time? :S :P

and well... I hope for that regular that someone visits from time to time cuz if it's a hard game it might take a while till the others return  ::) ;-D

Maybe I wasn't following...but I was thinking Shadow's reason for not being able to play the game as soon as it comes out is because of time constraints.

And once the game comes out, I do plan on dropping by (probably for hints :P) every once in a while until I finish the game.  Of course, "every once in a while" will probably mean once or twice a day :P

There's a small problem with me doing that without some practical problems. You see, I do most (if not all now) of my surfing in Linux. KQ IX will be released to play on Windows. My WINE is not operational (yet) and I doubt such a new game would run with it anyway. So, if I get stuck on something I need a hint for (note: hint <> spoiler), I have 2 options:
a) Shutdown Windows and start up in Linux, wait for an answer and then shutdown Linux and go back to Windows.
b) (Temporarily) surf in Windows.
It's not that my network isn't safe, the router's firewall is effectively stealthing all of its ports, it's the fact I don't trust Windows$.
And to get back to a discussion about me joining on page 2, I found an e-mail in my IN-box (yes, I keep a lot of mails, especially those when joining a forum, if only to not forget the login-data), and indeed it was on March 02, 2003. Hence, the forum is absolutely correct, since I find no earlier mention of me registering for a KQ IX-forum, and IIRC every KQ IX forum was a registering one. 8) It seems I registered on the JA-forums on October 24, 2002, maybe I was confusing those two. ;] Well, at least it's 20 months (+ 2 days) today (November 4, 2004). :P

Sadly, I've never used it on my own PC (I'm not willing to subscribe). :-\

Mandrake 8.1: Gaming Edition also has it. 8)

Explination of what I just posted(for non-Linux users)
"The WINE project itself is a free and open quasi-emulator of Microsoft Windows 3.x, 9x, and NT that enables Unix users to run a growing variety of Microsoft Windows programs. WineX, however, is specifically built for Linux, and has a focus on game technology -- which tends to push the envelope in using special operating system-specific features such as DirectX."

And already so many posts. If you keep this up you'll definitely be a groupie before me. :jealous:

PS: Thanks for the Linux-info! Appreciate it a lot. :pleased: However, I've just read the small print and that part about paying puts me off. :-X

Been on the forums for a little while, not sure for exact time. My first post in this section *strangles racx again*. I thought it was for groupies only. Is this an insane section that i should just ignore?

koko_99_2001

You should ignore it as long as you're not insane :P  Just  kidding.  As far as I know, you are able to post anywhere and everywhere.

Unless you spent an inordinate amount of time lurking around, you've been here since September 16, 2004. 8)
And so we add yet another few days to our current member-status. :scholar: I don't know what my first post is in this section and AFAIK my first ever post has vanished without a trace.

What the people are in real life, is of no concerne for me. Their behaviour on this forum (that what I see if it anyway) is what I base on.
The length I've been here has probably contributed a lot to my current status (see 1st line of my sig). :pleased:
