Peeps? Yuck! Those things are disgusting! :X

Basically, all they are is pure sugar. For the most part they are just marshmallows, and here are the ingredients of marshmallows:

Quote
corn syrup, sugar, modified food starch, dextrose, water, pork-skin gelatin, tetrasodium pyrophosphate, artificial flavor, natural flavor (of what I can't imagine), and blue #1.

Three of the top four ingredients are kinds of sugar, and the other is a starch which becomes sugar when your enzymes break it down. Then add to this a pure sugar candy-coating, and you've got Peeps®!

I don't really know what I'm trying to prove here, since I'm hardly nutritionally mindful of what I eat myself. I guess if they tasted good to me I'd eat them regardless. Maybe I'm lucky that they don't? :-\

Peep jousting sure is fun though! :P

I have never heard of a peep in my life :-\

BTW when I saw pork-skin gelatine it made me think of McDonalds icecreams :P, i can't believe pig fat can be so yummy :P
