Hello all,
I just finished playing this game, Return to Mysterious Island, thought I'd share my thoughts.

It's a first-person game ala Myst, which also means rather than walking through the game you almost 'teleport' from one location to another and become immobile.  In this game you can look around freely and admire the beautiful backgrounds (which really are nice).  I also like the puzzle system, which is open-ended, so many puzzles have multiple solutions.  Want to light a fire?  You can use flint, or a lens under the sun for instance.

Most of the game's cut-scenes are done through comic book-like images with voiceover.  While it may sound cheap, it does work, and the designs and art style are nice enough it's not a huge problem.

It is quite short though, maybe several hours.  There is some incentive to replay it, because of the multiple puzzle solutions and the scoring system, with loads of bonus points to be found.

All in all, I recommend this game for anyone looking for a good adventure title, until KQIX is done.
