Who do you think...

We all know Graham has to leave the throne someday.  All the candidates have a few faults, so who do you think would be the best choice to inherit the throne?

I'm going with Rosella also.  I don't think any of the others really make good candidates.  Alex wasn't around for long enough...and he and Cassima have their own kingdom now.  Edgar...a nice guy, but can't take care of himself, so how can he take care of the kingdom? Connor...he may've saved the kindom, but we need a person who won't use violence to solve all his/her problems.

Connor shouldn't be heir due to him not being of the bloodline, which only leaves Alexander and Rosella, but as for the best choice...


since he's the only one that's seen things from a commoner's point of view/understanding(unless I missed something in the books ), as well as having the larger view/understanding that the royalty possesses (after being head of the guard for awhile) ... so I vote for him.

not to mention, that the rest have at least a possible second kingdom to run.

and no, it has nothing to do with my Defender signature line.

I don't think Graham was related to King Edward.  He was just his first knight, IIRC.

I voted for Rosella, simply because she's the next of kin.  Alex & Cassima are busy with the Green Isles, Edgar has Etheria and Connor... nah.

Connor, he kinda started out like Graham, except Graham was a knight and Connor was just a civilian with a dagger.

Anyway he helped Daventry and it would be interesting to see him take over

I think she's not in there because she already has control of the throne.  It's shared between King Graham and Queen Valanice.

I think Edgar and Rosella should make a nice King and Queen of Daventry. Ok, so it might leave Etheria without a ruler, but clearly Daventry needs a royal couple, and it should include a member of Graham's family. Alex has the Land of the Green Isles to rule. Connor just didn't seem to me like royal material, if you know what I mean...

There is no mention of a king prior to Edward in King's Quest. We know absolutely nada about this country's history, except that it is very ancient and that its prosperity relies on its three magical treasures. Graham was Edward's favorite knight. Maybe he did heroic things in the various wars that erupted after Edward had the magic shield stolen from him. That's my guess anyway...

The Ogre who still roams Daventry definately has a legitimate tie-in to the crown...I think he should inherit it. Definately.

I think that Alexander should rule. Rosella's too likely to wander off on another adventure, and Edgar hasn't had enough time to be himself. As far as Connor goes, I think he should retire and remain the town tanner.

Very hard question to answer..

*gets ready to write down a scatch of his observations*

Observations:

- Alexandre already rules another country and doesn't seem to have much interest in leaving the Green Isle. It looks as if he wants to start his life over (with Cassima) and if he was to govern Daventry he wanted be able to achieve that. No go for him.
- As for Rosella, I don't really think she's governing material. She's too aventurous and wouldn't be a good ruler (much less with Edgar by her side ).
- Cassima is with Alexandre so if he doesn't go, she doesn't go.
- I won't even bother mentioning why Edgar shouldn't be ruler  
- Conner seems to me the best choice in the list. He's not really ruler material but he seems more able then the rest.  

My answer:

I would add a third royal child to the story.

I have to say conner. I have not won the game yet but i think he would make a fine king. Plus Alexander can't leave because of Cassima, Cassima can't leave because she can't leave  the green isles.
same with Rosella and Edgar.

Yes maybe Conner might not have royle blood and may have been the only one to use violence but it was neccesary...
