*cough* To get off THAT topic, and because this is my thread here's an essay I spent 2 hours writing
This essay is to explain why I think I should be chosen to be a Fannatic. I know perfectly well that Fannatics are chosen based on activity and how long they’ve been on the forums, and that this essay won’t do much. However, I’m writing it anyway, simply because it’ll make me feel better.
First and foremost, though my post count is a rather measly 454 (as I write this in Word before posting,) I think I have been generally somewhat active in the forums. I also think most of my posts have been worth reading and I have been active in other KQ9 events. IIRC, I asked the most questions at the 3rd anniversary chat. I’m also responsible for bringing yet more insanity (in the form of Bologna_Thief) to Chamber. As far as longevity goes, I feel I’ve been at the forums as long as many of the Fannatics. However, this does mean that I should be expected to have a similar post count to compare. But, in my defense, to get up to the current post count of some of the Fannatics, I’d have to be like LN and read every single post. Then I’d have to reply to all of them. I admit I haven’t been the most active member in the past, but I’m trying! REALLY, REALLY HARD!
Also, most of the KQ Fannatics are around uber-late teens/early-mid 20’s. The average age of the Fannatics is about 22. And the range of Fannatics ages is 14. This represents the basic demographic that would remember/want to play a Kings Quest game. However, with the possibility of beta-testing *cough* extended to some Fannatics, I think it’d be better to have a wider range of people to beta test and maybe give a bit of feedback on whether it is too hard, too boring (uber doubt it,) too easy (SEVERELY doubt it
,) or needs work on something. IF I was added to the Fannatics list, it would raise the range to 19.
Well this has become a pretty useless essay due to the fact that I only have 2 main reasons. But I’m going to post it anyways. Feel free to point and laugh at my pathetic excuse to be a Fannatic
EDIT: Also, if the Rosella500 account is mine, as I think it is, and was simply registered under kelseyg@comcast.net, or kelseygardner@hotmail.com my non-existant email addresses, I've been here since August of 2002 and was just inactive for about 2 years
