Yes. Jafar's right. This Forum is VERY educational. I think they should use it at school for the Computer Programming class. I don't know HOW, but they should.  ;D

So, schools these days allow IM-programs to be installed on school material? ::)

At work it's worse, we can't even install anything. In the past, when my skills surpassed those of the ICT-department, I could find ways around it but nowadays security's so tight that's impossible. :-\

Yeah they did that to us, but our administrator isn't so bright and so we installed it on home computers then copied the files on to flash drives and then copied it onto the computers XD

Now hes taken away right click and File from the toolbar, so we can't do much. He also stopped us from copying IM programs

Actually, I have NO access to computers during school. This was just before school started. XD

We covered up with a window that had the task at hand on it, but we never actually did any work XD

We also took a screenshot of the desktop and taskbar, and we would have that IE window on the taskbar, then we would save that in paint and use it as the wallpaper. Then we would hide the actual taskbar and it would look like we weren't using IM programs XD

When I was at school, first of all computers were scarce, we had maybe one or two classes at a computer, all the others were in pc-less classes. And secondly, Internet-access at that time was really scarce in this land, so you could forget about IM-programs being popular completely. Ofcourse, this was many years ago. ;)

Same here.  We only really had enough computers for everyone when I was in high-school, and even then it was crappy Win95 (even though Win98 had come out by that time). :P

IM's only got popular for me when I was in my senior years, and back then the school had no idea how to configure its security, so I was able to install MSN on any computer I wanted. XD

Don't forget I graduated from high school even before Win95 was out. :sweating:

Like I said, the computers I had access to (in high school) didn't have internet connection so even if I had an IM-program, it wouldn't have been much use. I once tried installing a game on the pc I was working at. Because I always finished my work long before anyone else did, I had lots of spare time left, but unfortunately, that room also served as pc-room for another group of people in the evening, they found it and I was informed about it. Ofcourse, another thing I won't forget easily is they once asked me for help to find out what was wrong with one of their computers. Not that I remember what it was though. 8)

#299
I'm going to post another essay about why I should be a Fannatic. Read :P
QuoteThis is the introduction to my “Why I should be a Fannatic” essay, part 2. :P I’m just going to jump right into the reasons.
Since my last essay, on May 28th, I’ve made 1466 posts (this essay being my 1467th since then.) Therefore, my average posting speed from then until now has been a little under 12 and a half posts per day. That number exceeds the posting rate on Cat’s profile, Neil’s profile, CC’s profile, and Jafar’s profile. In my daring, I checked Jason’s profile. I bow to his 13.5 posts per day. ;P As far as longevity goes, I can’t change how long I’ve been at the forums. I still think it’s long enough though. :P
That recaps my first essay, now I’m taking a slightly different approach. Using the infamous LN’s “Ways to Become a Fannatic” Top10 list, I now have more things to compare myself to. :P
“1: Take part in KQIX activities” I’ve tried my best to be at every KQIX event and Chamber session. Also, I’m against Connor, that has to count for something, right? :P
“2: Join the forum” OMGSH! I’ve done this! Go me! XD
“3: Post an essay” This was my idea… :P
“4: Sign up for the fanlist.” I’m so on there, right under Jael, B’rrr, and GunHoMac.
“5: Post often (NOT SPAM)” See the above paragraph. :P
“6: Beg.” PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE!?!? *puppy dog eyes*
“7: Chat in Chamber” Well I would if Chamber was open…  :'(
“8: Help newbies” I try! I really do! I read new posts in the KQIX section of the forums, and I try to answer questions without making it sound like it’s been answered everywhere before. “I think that…” See? Isn’t that nice?  …Isn’t it?
“9: Become a patient.” “ Rosella - listens to Simple Plan, thinks she has her own "Zone" and listens to the Creme Eggs sing” ;D
“10: Turn people into KQIXers” Well, I brought Nicole to Chamber and will beat her with a bat until she downloads KQIX. I also brought Caitlin to the asylum. :P If my friend, Brendon, didn’t move away, I’d have probably have gotten him to join; he liked KQ1.
With ALL of that in mind, let’s also consider the other things I’ve added to the forum; the grammar police for example. What would we do without someone reading every post and annoying people for mixing up “less” and “fewer”? I mean REALLY! Also, I’ve recently passed Jafar on the “Most Time Online” list. This means that I am now…NUMBER 1! !!! I should get a button; “I OFFICIALLY have no life.” :D
But really, I love this project and I’d like to help in any way I can. I’m not very talented in any way that I’d be of use on the team, but I love KQ, and I want to be part of this somehow. :)
