Now for some entertainment pictures:


My first snowman of winter 2005/2006. Actually, it wasn't exactly winter (yet), it was only November 25! That's why you already see the remaining snow having been melted around the snowman.


This time it's winter: December 30 to be exact. Due to the surge in temperature that was being predicted that night  the picture had to be taken the same night and not the next morning, so I had to fiddle  a bit with the brightness to make sure you can see me. As you can see, I managed to make it a bit higher than the previous one. My aim is to make one just as big as me, but since the strength in my arms is not good enough to hoist a second (big) snowball onto the first (bigger snowball, which I can roll, but at the end that's becoming hard to do too) I have to hoist a smaller snowball onto the first. Then I have to add extra snow to that second snowball so it becomes bigger. And ofcourse, I have to add snow where two snowballs attach too, because when you put two circles on each other, the top one is liable to fall off. My snowmen are all made out of three snowballs with added snow.


And finally, a picture of me, I think it must have been right after my hair had been cut, otherwise I can't see why I did it.

Look! It's CC! And look! A snowman! The house looks REALLY nice. ^^ This thread is making me want to take pictures of our bathroom, since it's being remodeled. But yeah, the house looks nice; the snowmen look fab, and you look awesome! ^^

I never have the patience to build a full size snowman, so they always end up being Yoda size.

If a snowball is too big, you can always push off a whole chunk of snow so it gets lighter.

I think it's more because they're in .png format and each pic is almost 300kb.  If you saved them as jpg's instead they'd be a lot smaller and load much quicker.

I don't think so. They were originally in jpg (1600x1200 pixels). All I have done to them is:
- rotate them 90° if I photographed something in portrait mode;
- resize them to 400 pixels left to right;
- save them as png with maximum quality.
Besides that, png is open-source and jpg is patented, and Linux is all about open-source.

I promised the finished product, so here we go:

Did I tell y'all I used to play (church)organ? Ofcourse this is clearly not a pipe organ, but an electric one, never had enough room to fit a pipe organ. In my last year(s) of school I used to practice at school in a church on a church organ though. Started on a piano, because the first year they weren't organizing organ yet. But, that was a looooong time ago. And on top of that, you can see a blast-from-the-past radio. See it glow? That's because it's powered by light bulbs.


The tv-corner in the living room, where you can see my stuffed/fluffy dinosaur resting.


The office room, where my two computers are. In the front, you see my old Pentium II. It's rarely used anymore, I daily use the one on the desk behind that one. The computer is behind the desk panel, so you can't see it. You can't see the LCD monitor either, because (most of) it's blocked by the CRT monitor. BTW, they're both 17-inch models.


Other side of the office room, where all of my Programs/Games/CD/DVD(-boxes), books are stacked.

MY bed room. You can just see the top of my fluffy bear on the bed's right. There's also a (lot) smaller fluffy killer whale, and a (equal size to the killer whale) fluffy dolphin. There's also a fluffy dog. I believe I already told y'all I love fluffy. On the wall you can see two Greenpeace-posters. At the back there's an inflated sitting bag.


A look at the garden in the back through the big windows.


The fluffy dinosour @ work watching over the work-laptop and the remote controls of the devices located on the tv-furniture (that would be a tv, two VCR's, and a DVD/HDD-player/writer). My cell phone is also on that table, closest to the camera.

Icing on the cake, even though it's a bit blurry.

Who might this young whippersnapper be?
Date of last house picture: 2006/03/09. The last two are bit more recent but since my camera doesn't save the date the photograps were taken and my memory can't recall when they were taken either, I can't tell.

Pretty cheap too. The next year they made the fair-game in which I had managed to win a flurry animals two years in a row (the bear and the dino) pretty cheap a bit harder, which rendered the method I had used thusfar unuseable and I couldn't come up with a new one that was as efficient so I quit playing that fair-game.
Next (and probably final) instalment of house-pictures will be that of the driveway leading to the carport. You see, with my snazzy cartires, I couldn't dare cross the two considerable height differences leading up to the carport. Furthermore, when it had rained, the ground was all muddy so even if there wasn't a height difference, I might get myself stuck inthere. So, until the driveway was put in place, I parked my car on a parking space beside the road. However, that parking space was so narrow on the road I needed to put one side of cartires on my (sometimes muddy) terrain.
