Don't worry about lurking, and lot of us did that. Or at least I did.

And yes, usually you respond on the board. It can go on forever, the asylum topic has gone through over 300 pages if you count all the new threads.

Usually it just goes on until everyone gets bored and stops posting or it reaches 100 pages in which case it is archived and a new one started. Don't worry about taking up space though, it's not like we will run out of paper.

If you need to find something you can use the search button near the top of the screen. Just type in what you need to find and should show all posts with those words in them.

I sense my post is a little OT, so can a local mod please move it into the welcome new people thread or wherever you think it ought to go.

I won't move this just yet, mainly because I don't want goodag to think no one's responded to her, seeing as she's new to forums ingeneral.

Anyway, you can go back and forth in threads. However, if it's too much off-topic (in a thread that has a specific topic), then one of the mods will move it to a more appropriate place.

Yeah, I'll move this tonight to the Welcome Thread. Unless LN or someone decides to move it first.
