There's no time limit, but usually the people that don't activate right away entered in some fake email address or mispelled theirs.

Looking in order of Date joined, it would appear I am member #1000.  Does that mean I get a free year of membership or something? ;)

I've actually been "lurking in the shadows" for a couple years now, seeing how this would turn out.

I've always been a huge KQ nut, even back when the original KQ just came out, and my parents got it for me when I was 6 (for my Apple IIe, in 1984...so then today I would be...).  When I saw that this project was going on, it really piqued my interest, and I was curious to see how far you guys would take it.  When you got the trailer online and even got the go ahead from Vivendi, I was ecstatic.

More personally, I work as a database and scripting programmer in the Chicago, IL, USA area.  I am married (so back off, girls ;) ), and am getting my wife into the KQ series too (at least whatever games I can get working on my machine these days).

Oh, and since Yonkey isn't big on spoilers, I'll give him one:  Less than an hour ago I had an IM conversation with Yonkey ;)

 Hello all.  I played (or watched my Father play) KQV when it was still on Best Buy shelves a long time ago.  Though the disk is lost I did retain some favorable memories of it, so one afternoon I google "Kings Quest" more or less on a whim, and after a page or so of results found this.  I've been lurcking for several months, and since all I saw going on was "It'll be ready when it's ready, and you'll find out about it when its ready" plus a few forum game  I never bothered to register.  I changed my mind for no reason in particular ( I'm probably sounding like an utterly indecisive fool, pity it had to come out so soon ;)  ;D)  So here I am! 

  For the curious, I picked this name for the Roman Army Talk forums, as there is a city called Petra, capital of the Nabataean Arabs on Rome's border and eventually annexed by them.  It is also an architectural marvel and a (semi)popular tourist destination, so it the name is sort of a pun.  :P  Sorry for the obscure rant, but I though an explantion was warrented in these parts.   


  If you couldn't tell yet, I am a "history buff" so that what I do in most of my spare time.  Other personal information may follow as I think of anything interesting to the general public about my life that can't be used to find my top secret location scam me or anything.  ;D
