I made up something about Cedric and King Graham:

Graham: Cedric, how many licks does it take to get to the chocolately center of a tootsie pop?
Cedric: OOOooo Graham I'm not sure let me see.....1.....2.....*shocked expression*GRAHAM! WATCH OUT A POOIIISONOUS SNAKE!!!!
Narrator: How many licks does it take to get to the chocolately center of a tootsie pop? The world may never know.

I don't think so... they listed Aphrodite, Ceres, and a few other godess'  even though Aphrodite is called Venus in Roman mythology and Percepherus (or something like that) is Ceres' Greek mythology name.

Actually, Ceres' name in Greek mythology is Demeter (Persephone is Demeter's daughter). The reason I said they may have gotten confused is that Roman gods are basically the same as the Greek ones, only with different names - sometimes people can't tell which name is from which mythology :-\

Also: KQ6=Death (sounds too religious to be mythology about his being 'chained to the throne whilst still a man'

I don't know if the KQ6 Lord of the Dead is from any mythology, but the Archdruid says they call him Samhain, which is taken from the Celtic mythology (figures, since the druids are Celtic). According to this article though, Samhain is just a Celtic festival and not really the Lord of the Dead in Celtic Mythology.

KQ7=Roman Mythology (Ceres and Attis)

Actually, the name 'Attis' is from the Greek mythology, but there Attis isn't the Lord of the Hunt, or anything like the KQ7 character :S

MoE=Egyptian Mythology (The underworld has the egyptians death god as it's ruler

The ruler of MOE's Dimension of Death is named Azrael, which is the angel of death in Islamic-Judeo-Christian mythology. As for the character itself, I'd say he's more like Hades, what with Charon being there and all :-\

Maybe that's where they got the inspiration for that character's looks.

Coincidence?

I realized something the other day. In King's Quest VI - Heir Today, Gone Tomorrow, Cassima is a virtual prisoner in her tower, and she has a bird named Sing Sing. As in Sing Sing Correctional Facility? Coincidence? Probably, lol

Heheh, Cassima (and) the jailbird ;P

I don't think it's intentional though, they probably used the name Sing Sing because it sounds Chinese, and the nightingale is from the fairytale about the nightingale and the emporer of China ;)

About the MoE death god, a friend of mine who loves egyptian mythology, said that the weighing of the soul wit hthe feather of truth was in fact a real egyptian ritual that the egyptians believed happened to all souls.

I think that it doesn't really matter what mythology they take from, but it would make it a little more realistic. As for Charon, he's just cool.  :D

I've always wondered if the voice of the woman in the bakery in KQ5 is Roberta Williams. Can anyway tell me either way?

Yes but she didn't do voices very often. I would like to know who voiced Lady Celeste.

I always thought Celeste was a bit stuck-up, so I figured the actress's name would also be.
