lol, I've got a few reactions/questions about how to set up a combo and such... so i made some screenshots to illustrate how to set up a 6-combo ; ) ...hope you'll understand ; )

first... standard set up

note: rosella isn't someone you can trust so she may move differently each game... still, 90% of the time this setup works (ie. can be done from another starting position, but that is of no concern now) ;

usually Rosella moves towards your piece (I) ..at this point you jump (II) and lure rosella to take 2 pieces of you (III)

that side is set... so now you have to set up the other side... (I) ...at this point rosella moves differently, ...she could take a piece of you or make a random move as she did in my game (II)

now to complete the circle move your piece to set up another opertunity for rosella to catch 2 pieces (I) ...If she takes the bait you have a complete circle and a piece that can make the combo (ideal situation)

....unfortunatly she made another move in my case (II) ; \

it doesn't really matter... the bait is set... make a random move (I) and wait for rosella to take the bait and complete the circle and sets up a 6-combo..(II)

...all you have to do is collect it   ...and that is for you to figure out (in the ideal situation you have a piece in jump distance from the combo so you can make it directly after the combo is set up.

lol, hope this tutorial helps ; ) ...it can't be aplied everytime, ...but most of the times it can... you notice I have a few pieces left, but remember that I'm about to capture 6 pieces and a bonus of 11 points!! ...it is worth the effort ; )

I can barely play Hexxawand, never mind figure out how to capture a corner of Rosella.

....but can you now? ...it is all about setting up situations for rosella to make easy captures and so setting up a combo for yourself.

I assure you, Rosella makes MANY easy captures on me!

I lose pieces by accident and i can assure you that i have trouble setting it up

Maybe this tutorial can help, because on my first try, so many weeks ago, just as in the Microscope puzzle in T7G, or the bee-puzzle in T11H, I can never trick the opponent without detailed instructions.

well if this is the only combo that you can pull of you wouldn't be able to reach more then 60 or so... so more 'luring' is required ; )

As far as I'm concerned, except when Rob or Jeysie plays, I pretty much win so there's nothing to worry about.   I stil read the tutorial, and I'm still miserable when I play as Graham. Thanks for being considerate though!

Thank you B'rrr for this tutorial! the first time I tried it, I won, but the second time, Rosella screwed me over and I lost with only one piece on the board.
