Who's your favorite non-main character?

Dr. Kadaver was very interesting...I like him too.  Cedric wasn't too bad, like I said in an earlier post.  Depends on how you look at him I guess.

Yeah, I definitely like Cedric. I think Crispin's cool too, but he didn't get much appearance (only in the beginning and the end of KQ5).

It would be cool if Crispin regained some of his aging powers and became a main force to be dealt with against the Black Cloak Society.

I read two of the books of the King's Quest trilogy (listed at this site) and supposedly Crispin turns into a tree for longevity...

So yeah, some development on Crispin's part would be really nice, I liked what little I saw of him in KQ5.

The tree is an entirely different wizard who lives in Daventry, actually, though I can't recall his name right off the top of my head.  As far I recall, Crispin stayed human!  He was pretty cool too.

I dunno... after all, he IS a fairy...

Anyways, I think if a wizard chooses to focus his magic on longevity, his other spells lose power since most of his magic goes into making him live longer. And power, well, makes your longevity a little unpredictable as a wizard, you might get real powerful and some boy just comes along and turns you into a cat...

Edgar is definitely under appreciated by the fans.  KQ9 should help rectify that.

I do agree on Edgar's underappreciation.  Not that I blame them...I mean in one instance, he's the guy Rosella's being forced to marry, in the other, he's her kidnapper! Unfortuantely, the best common thread i can gather about Edgar from previous games is:

"Wow, he sure gets kidnapped and put under spells a whole lot. Maybe he oughta see someone about getting that taken care of."   :-/

Poor guy! By the end of KQ7, he's known his real parents for all of, like, 2 days!  It's a bit tougher being a fairy than we might guess.

(Note to any and all! Just 'cause I'm one of the writers, don't necessarily take anything I say to be a hint! This, for example, was a lot fo me just rambling. That's fair warning! )

I agree about Edgar.  I actually feel sorry for the guy...although, I didn't like the way he looked in KQ7...I mean, how long was it between KQ4 and 7 and how did he grow out his hair that quickly???  I liked his clean cut in 4...I'm hoping that he will look great in 9!!!

He did have very clearly blue eyes in KQ4, but brown ones (once "human" again) in KQ7.

Clearly I don't think Sierra was always very consistent with hair-eye color. I distinctly remember in the original KQ2 it being stressed and said that Valanice had auburn hair and blue eyes. BUt in KQ7, for sake of matching that damned dress, she had light brown hair and green eyes!!

A whole year passed in between KQ4 and KQ5, so it says in the KQ5 book.  Since KQ7 takes place a bit later he had plenty of time to grow hair.

"Hole In The Wall" is a creature that lives on the Isle of Wonder in KQ6...
It looks like a flat, round rat and if you put it on a wall you can see throught it to the other side... quite handy!

I hope in KQ9 Edgar will get to do something besides getting kidnapped, brainwashed and trying to force Rosella to marry him... it's getting pretty old :-/

Another NPC I liked was the frog-prince from KQ4. Sitting as a frog in a pond all day, trying to catch a princess, and ends up with a "peasant girl"...

well I think thats why this new kq has a new options into the kq story because its as radical as to break up the tipical patterns that edgar is that all he does or that is that all hes involved, edgar of course as well as connor that im familiar mostly with because i did part of the work there, I know they have better parts on this new story and I do believe your all going to like it  

but no neither edgar is going to be the same old dude doing the same stuff, neither connor is going to be some X killing people all over or something

What about the Black cat from KQ7? She's a cutie, and helpful too...Poor kitty, always being tortured by those damn kids...And she doesn't even have a name!  I call her Blackie.
