KQIX Project shuts down

Ok, guys here's what we're going to do: I am posting a petition. What I need EVERYONE to do is print it out and sign it (and please add your city & state/country to the petition...there's not a place for it, so just stick it somewhere around your signature. It will make it "more real" to Vivendi). THEN scan it and email it to me. From there, I will print out each and every signed copy and mail all of them to Vivendi at the same time.

For those nervous about letting everyone know your names, don't worry. You, Vivendi, and myself will be the only ones to see your signatures. If you do not have a scanner, PM me here on the forum and we will work something out...and if you're not a member, email me and I'll get back to you ASAP. Just remember, I'm a graduate student, so give me about 12 hours or so

Oh yeah, and if you'd rather have the .doc instead of a .jpg from here on the forum, send me your email, and I'll get that to you also.

My wife and I are old hands at the Kings Quest Adventures. and I mean OLD, we have loved them from day 1, I would just like to say that we won a prize ( A Kings Quest Pin ) for getting top points, and we cherish it a lot, over the years we have had a lot of enjoyment from KQ, why did Vivendi have to go and spoil it, to all the people who tried to keep it alive, Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Hey if we lose the battle against kqix could POS remake KQ8 instead? remake it so its actuly a kings quest game and not a stupid hack-n-slash. Just a idea i had.

I was looking forward to this and other fan projects.....it makes me worry for other projects that I haven't seen any news on yet about being requested to stop production ,  I am extremely disappointed that this and other projects they will most likely find out about will have to quit production just because they are going to rerelease old collections.
It won't stop me from buying those collections but it'll ruin some of the joy. ;-(
It's stupid , alot of times companies that take over things barely do anything with the stuff they taken over. For example ,  Kimba is out on dvd or whatever but to get a dvd of Unico ( I'm not sure how they translated it or specifics or whatever....never gotten around to snatching a copy yet )  you have to look on ebay ...ubi soft took over petz products but they only released Catz and Dogz on gba and those are probably hard to find ...they didn't rerelease Oddballz at all ( my favorite one ) and they didn't rerelease them for computers like I think they should have 'cause all three games were originally for computer only. The last time I tried to play my old copy of Oddballz on computer it didn't work and I don't have the gba games. *sighs*
They shouldn't take issue with it , they should think of it as free advertising and a good thing ....a fangame /  a free game won't keep us from buying the rereleased collections.
