PERSONALLY, I think it's a lot of -crap- , not what the mod said, but what she said, the whole "Vivendi representatives recently explained they chose to shut down the fan project of KQIX now because they just learned of it. Had they known about it several years ago when it began production, it probably would have been shut down at that point." it's nothing more than just they trying to get rid of the whole madness and mess, because you, the fans are driving them insane, it might be a tiny percentage, but apparently enough to get the mods from their forums to jump out the window or something. And being part of the company, I bet they sure comment on that "those damn KQIX groupies! "

Whatever they say, I don't believe them at the moment (VIVENDI) the mods have been somehow "nice" about this whole deal, and I appreciate they made an annoucement about it, I dont think it'd make the fans stops but hey

I seriously believe VU simply does not care at all, they just shut the team down 'cause they can, and it was just the thing to do. Nothing less, nothing more, IMHO.

Yep, I read that after I posted my piece.  At least we know they've heard the outcry, whether they choose to acknowledge it in more than a warning to forum posters or not.

The question is, even if you could boycott them all, how effective would that boycott be? not enough to dent their sales curve, I bet. You'll probably end up hurting yourself more then you hurt them.

you know, i was just thinking, this posting on vivendi forums is kinda reminiscient of the beginning of kqvi, when you know the vizier is up to something dirty when he for no good reason tells you off...so you eventually break into the castle to put an end to it.

so let's do that!  use some magic paint to get inside vivendi!  let's see...i've got a paintbrush and bowl...i can prolly get some swamp ooze from my suitemate's room, considering the smell, but i think that's about it.  so let's hear it.  anyone got a black horse feather they'd like to contribute?  oh yeah, almost forgot, any river styx water, anyone?

Interesting spin on things.  Definately something to look into.  I'm going to send an email to tech about it and see if they refer me to comments.  I might get lucky and they'll tell me straight out.

Probably because they didn't think it would get this far, especially so supported and so well done.  When they realized someone actually meant it this time when they said they were making a sequel, they pulled the plug.
