I would like to dedicate my next rank-changing post to my Queene, without whom I would never have come this far. :P

Thanks Deloria, you really are a great friend. :D

I may have said this before, but I'll say it again cause it's amazing, but its so awesome how mature Deloria is! I can't remember if I knew how old she was before but at 15, I think of her as alot older than that cause of the way she acts here. Kudos to you!  ;D

Indeed she is. I hadn't even noticed she was only 15 before I looked at her profile just now due to what you posted. She acts as though she's in her early 20s or at least 18. ;)

*sighs* Since I'm too lazy to figure out how to capitalise a cedilla on this keyboard, I shall have to make due with English, but I did want to reply in French. :P

Apart from a random part of me being slightly irritated with our learning the vocative forms of adjectives as well (which must be the most ridiculous idea anyone has ever had... :P), well enough. :)

How goes Greek? :D

And since I ought to post something useful besides a random update of my life, I would like to say that columns are pretty! :P

The vocative may be left to stand by itself once its rules of syncretism have been explained: it is in all declensions the same form as the nominative save in masculine nouns of the second in -us, wherein it has the inflection -e for nouns in -us and -i for nouns in -ius (and meus).

It is fairly unnecessary to teach it alongside the adjectives... it is far more reasonable to introduce it immediately with the nominative and then explain its peculiarities in the second declension when one at last arrives at -us verbs of the second declension. :P

How goes Greek? :D

It goes... I feel now that I must double back and relearn some idioms and a good bit of vocabulary as last night the Greek expression for "how are you?" had escaped me... (I caught it though :P: "Πως εχεις;") Now is indeed a good time for this as I feel I have a good handle on the conjugations which I have been doing recently (they are all of largely "irregular" verbs).

Forgive me, I may have been ambiguous. I meant that we've been taught how to decline adjectives in the nomanitive, accusative and vocative cases and that I thought the last fairly pointless from a purely practical standpoint. :P Declining nouns in the vocative case was learned alongside the nomanitive and the accusative cases at the  very beginning. :)

Indeed? :D *recalled you have a fondness for those in Latin, but wasn't certain if the same stayed true for Greek* And yes, unfortunately one can't devote oneself entirely to grammar in a language, but must constantly repeat vocabulary as well. :-\

Yes. Vocabulary is important. It is my feeling that one acquires a small set of functional vocabulary and an important set of sentence patterns as one first learns the grammar and then one may return to learn whatever vocabulary one likes. This works far better for independent study as one is learning the vocabulary one likes and is likely to use. It is not so effective for learning from books in a classroom setting as the rest of the class and the teacher would all hope that they do not have to wait for half an hour while you pick the right form from your pocket dictionary (less of a problem when one works alone ;P).

XD XD We're mostly left to our own devices, amidst lectures on local politics and various etymologies. :P Though I do imagine that must be so much more satisfying than continuously learning basic vocabulary and hardly delving into anything else. *must start doing that*

Milady, I hath returned (again). I come bearing news from thy kingdom of Daventry. Thou art to be honoured for thy kindness as a ruler. King Graham wishes you appear as soon as possible, as the ceremony is set to begin next week. The journey may be long and perilous, but Graham hath appointed me thou's enchanter and protector. Using thine Magick of Ancient Merlin's Clan, I can protect thee from harm. I am incapable of magickaly transporting anyone but thy own self. Graham and the royal family await thee, my Queene Deloria! *bows to her majesty and positions Magick staff aloft* Also, within thy Clan of Merlin, I hath been given a new rank. Before I wielded a wand made of the purest woods, but now I bear a Magick Staff made of the finest Enchanted Woode in all the land. This Enchanted Wood is good for transforming my staff into a sword. It is capable of a preset transformation I determine. I hath decided that the sword of a Noble Knight is best suited. Milady, dost thou accept His Majesty's royal invitation?
