The Forgotten Alternate KQ4 Box

We are currently looking for someone who might be able to provide us with a good quality scan of KQ4's alternate box.  We currently only have the following image which is of really bad quality.



Instead of the classic game box cover of Rosella on a frightened unicorn we all know, this one showed Lolotte stealing Genesta's talisman.  To my knowledge this box was never released to the public, but it was seen in numerous Sierra catalogs prior to its release.  This image was taken from the Fall 1988 catalog but can also probaly be found in the 1987 catalog aswell.  If anyone has these catalogs or by some miracle the original box and could provide us with a good quality scan please contact us by emailing info@kq9.org.

This box has pretty much been forgotten by the gaming community so if you want to post your opinion on it then you can use this thread to do so aswell.  I believe this was the box intended for the original 256k AGI version of KQ4 before it was remade into the officially released 512k SCI version we played.

Sorry, can't help you with that. I didn't know about kq games back then. Lolotte really looks like the Bride of Frankenstein, I wonder if that's who they modeled her after.

Yeah, she does doesn't she?  When I was a kid I thought that was Rosella in that picture, only when I got the game did I realize who the lady in the white dress was.  I think they probably chose the other box design because it was more related to the game's heroine.  The official box cover is a bit more exciting to look at but it did throw me off when i first saw it in a computer game store.  Game was really good though.
