Does anyone know the story behind Roberta Williams leaving Sierra...and what she's doing now?

Ah, Sierra was one of my favourite companies along with Interplay. Sadly, both of these companies seem to have become corporate giants and have forgotten their roots.

-Thanks

Hi  ;D

We will be contacting Roberta Williams very soon. Whether she will or will not get involved in any way with this project, is strictly her decision. Nevertheless, we will keep you posted on whatever news we have of such matters in the near future. ;)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that Roberta's involvement in the project would complicate the already sticky legal issues.

Hello,

I want to make clear that Roberta is not involved in any way with this project. Our decision to write her concerning KQ9 is just on an informational basis. As i mentioned earlier, if Roberta would get involved is up to her, also taking into consideration  all legally bindant issues which may or may not restrict her.In any case, this project will continue.

As it happens, we are still looking into the legal complications which are involved. This game is intended as freeware, we in no way wish to or will deprive Sierra/Vivendi of their assets.

I hope that answers your question in a "round-about" manner.

Since Roberta Williams is no longer working for Sierra, she is no longer under contract. The only thing connected with that company is most likely just her pension or 401K. In any case, I am sure Sierra does not monitor her activity in her interaction with others. If they actually do, she could just come up with an alias. I know what restrictions people WORKING for a company have, like someone I know who works at Sega of America. Many people ask him to get information, but is not allowed to due to his legal bind to the company...
