I'm quite sure we're in for a LOT of surprises :P

I think I know who the villian is in TSL! Remember the KQVI? The vizier mentioned the black cloak society and the evil wizard shadrack. Im almost sure it's shadrack as the villian. In the trailor you see a wizard. Please tell me if you think i'm right. ;D ;D

Something tells me.....that....hmm...I see an S...I think...you're right!! XD

Yep, the mysterious Black Cloak Society member (leader?) IS the main villian in TSL. ;)
I'm a princess even if my kingdom is pixelated.

It's funny how you find you enjoy your life when you're happy to be alive.

Why put the boogeyman back in the game? Because he was a friggin' badass! He'd pop out of the ground and eat people! That's pretty intense, scary stuff. Plus he was just a creepy character. Probably the scariest KQ villian.
"And still we all are so hopeful,
So righteous in our blood.
It looks so tarnished in our eyes,
Yet so afraid of...

Fading into nothing,
Fading into nothing.
Just a trace of light
That burns within our thoughts... "

You haven't seen TSL yet. 8)

Well if the villains are as compex/creappy/sick or just plain as evil as Joneleth Irenicus from Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn, then I think we're pretty well off.

I see no reason why Mordack couldn't still be alive.  He was a powerful wizard and Graham was just reading stuff out of a book and he didn't even know what they meant.  Just because he rained on him when he turned into fire doesn't mean that he's dead.  He could be pretending to be dead and turn out to be the true head of the Black Cloak Society.  It could happen, it just has to be written that way.

Shades2585

Sure… You could just say that he was reduced to such a little flame that he was able to skitter away unnoticed and he waited smoldering in a corner for everyone to leave to start the trash bin on fire to rejuvenate his strength and change himself back.
LOL I could happen right? ;D

He had to die sometime. ::) Anyway, Mordack was a ninny. He had neither the skill nor the patience to master magic as well as his brother did. I'm sure he could have avoided dying, but the fact remains that he probably didn't.

I don’t care if he’s alive or dead but he must have had some skill to live as long as his brother did. His brother did live at least 80 years and Mordack didn’t look that old.

Manannan was 80 years old?   :o  (Sorry, it's been a year since I played all the games straight through.)

Shades2585

Mannon did abduct at least 3 kids for eighteen years apiece. Assuming he was twenty when he started that would make him almost 80.

Holy crap, you're right!!  So, if he lived for 80 years as a human and he was about to take another kid, he obviously wasn't about to die.  So, as a cat, he would live for another 12 years.  Except that he would live at least twice as long.  So, he would probably die around the age of 104.  :)

Shades2585

His preserved age probably had something to do with magic. Whether that would carry on in his cat form is questionable.

Quote from: The King's Quest Companion, Third Edition
The cookie thus created will turn whomsoever eats it into a feline (felis domesticus) forever; however, this is a difficult assertion to prove. No records have ever ben discovered, though, indicating the spell has ever worn off. It should also be noted that adepts familiar with the spell can easily recognize the cat cookie. For this reason mages disguise the cookie in some way or crumble it into some other food when planning to use it on a rival sorcerer. The wizard Manannan did just this to a former rival and then kept her as a household pet for both his amusement and the eradiction of vermin. It can be assumed that the victim was not amused.

Now notice the word "never", this leads me to believe that the feline is considered immortal (the wizard Morrowyn turned himself into a tree to become immortal, why can't the same principle be used as a cat?). But then, I could be, as I frequently am, wrong. :)

Hm, I see.  So, that means, if there were ever to be a 'KQ X' fangame, Manannan would probably be in it...or maybe not.

KQV says only Alexander can be the one to reverse the spell. So unless Alexander started feeling guilty… :suffer:

I don't think even Alexander can turn him back, Mordack just needed an excuse to feed the royal family to the cat. :P Or mabye he just hadn't read the small print in "The Sorcery of Olde".
