Saving right before dying

Does anyone else do this? I try to press F7 but I press F5 and just press enter a bunch. And it always seems to happen when I get really close to the end of a game! There's just that small space of time before the death message comes up and it drives me crazy.

I've done it! It's horrible... I did it once in KQ6 when I was almost done and for some reason I had only one save.

It's always fun loading a save to find that you've saved it right before you die.

Followed by the very long and agonizing "NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!"

Especially if you don't save in the right places.  I've done that often in KQV, by doing stuff like keeping one save.
  Once I saved going into the Inn outside the village IN KQ5 as long as I possibly could, then I went into it without a hammer, and saved the game!  Needless to say, I was very trapped, after playing through half the game (it's a good thing V is my favorite, and I enjoy playing it so much).
  This is why I usually fill up my save spaces on just one game if I don't know it very well.

Yeah. I usually only keep one save slot (especially when it's a game I know, like KQIV. ) As you guys can imagine, it was INCREDIBLY frustrating when I saved right after I fell off the stairs.

Well, as I'm sure you guys can imagine, it was incredibly frustrating trying to navigate the stairs.

I've never had this problem before. I always use multiple slots anyway. (makes it easier to die when you want to )

But even if you do, you still have to go back a bit if you mess up, to a different save file, right?

Well, I use alot of different files, so I never have to backtrack too much.

What gets me is hitting the restore button and not realizing it, restoring a game when I thought I was saving over it.

That is annoying, especially right after a particularly hard part of the game.

Isn't that the truth. I still remember being up during the middle of the night playing Wing Commander and I accidentally hit the restore instead of save after a near impossible mission......I still don't know how my folks, across the hall, didn't hear me scream "NOOOOOOOO!!!'

I saved directly before getting a "Oops, you did something we weren't expecting" message once. I opened that game years later and still don't know what it is I did.

I always save before I do something that might get me killed. (EX: (My Name) with yeti gonna throw pie.)

Well, that's adventure games for you! I hate it in KQ3 when your about to go down the mountain, and then all of a sudden, you fall, and have to start all over again if you saved at the beginning of the mountain... It is very, very frustrating... And even if I do save, I end up dead to begin with! And MoE is so annoying in that regard. Not saving often=dead connor in no time... And yes, I regret to say that I've have started playing Mask of Eternity again... As of a few months back...
