Menus and Such things...

Hi

Something I was wondering was and I'm not sure how to put this but, will there be a main menu (like in most modern games) that you can leave the game and go to at any point in the game, which will contain options for graphics and sound, or will be the old fashioned KQ setup, where the menu is an ingame option on the task bar (you know, where the hand,foot,eye etc icons are)?
Also...if there is a main menu, will it be sort of dark and dreary, like the main menu setting the tone for the game, and by that I mean for example like The Longest Journey's menu where it's a pretty gloomy setup, or will it be a menu like KQ2+ with bright colors and happy, uplifting music?

There is definitely going to be an Options, Settings and Inventory screens.  All three are accessible from the toolbar.

As for the look, they are neither cheery nor gloomy, they're pretty neutral.  But I'm not sure if that's the final design for them or not.  Have a look at the GameSpy article in the Press Releases section, it contains a few screenshots of some screens.

That's actually a good question.  I'm not sure but I think it will be the same HUD "flavour", just different buttons and inventory.

I have a theory. He can't answer yes because that would be spoiler-ful. He COULD answer no, however. So suffer=yes?

Though, he could just be putting suffer anyway to confuse logical people like me.

Well, they DO have different kinds of magic that they can do, so it's also logical that they would have different menus to suit that.
