Nope, sorry. There is definitely a name given to the one whose form changed. "Medusa as a stone" or "Manannan as a cat" aren't real titles.

theroachyjay

Can we have a hint?

Let's see...

The last words you will see on the screen (before you restore) will tell you what the new name is. Prior to that, you will never know.

Deloria

That leaves in games without (spoken) generic death messages. :P So KQV and KQVI.

Space! :D Extraterrestrium! :D Espace! :D

Boogeyman

It isn't VI, I checked all the death messages with SCI Viewer.

My guess is Graham as a gingerbread man(Graham Cracker)
I don't narrate for stinky kings!

When does he become a Graham Cracker? I don't remember it. :)

If you get caught by the witch in KQI.

But it always says the same thing...Oh! When you get caught by the witch in KQV and it turns you into something? Or maybe, the spell book in the end when you fight Mordack?

I think you should be a bit more specific than that ;)

Boogeyman

awesomeasapossum is probably getting mixed up with the original version of KQ1 from the sound of it. But in the original version, Graham simply remained in the cage.

As for Graham the frog in KQ5:
"Graham was caught toadally off guard."

And, for the record, Alexander the pig in KQ6:
"Is that the beast you could do?"

That is CORRECT! ;D Heehee, I love King Graham Cracker!

theroachyjay

Oh!  And I just stayed up all night two nights ago playing the KQI remake and got caught by the witch at least 20 times.

Since it's been a couple months...

In times gone by this hole of deep
Entertained he who later ruled many
And since that time, fire woke from sleep,
And destroyed this that once gave plenty

hercrabbiness

I've been thinking about that blasted riddle all week, and I still have no idea! XD This is a hard one..

tessspoon

lol, i thought this one would be either really obvious or really tricky. glad it seems to be the lather. But i can give a hint if you want...

PirateKingChris

I wouldn't give a hint yet...No one's guessed. I wanna think about it longer too, I just noticed the riddle.

Ok, my guess is the well in KQ1 since the dragon takes up residence there.
Noli me tangere! Nescio ubi fuisti!
Don't touch me! I don't know where you've been!

Marquess of Pembroke

Yep yep. :) Although I didn't even really think of the first dragon living in the well, I was more referring to the three-headed one in KQIII. (I'm assuming that the well in KQIII was the same one as in KQI :P)
