If TSL had the budget/time required, which game engine would you have preferred them to use?

*goes through process of elimination*

-GrimeE, by now, is a bit primitive(by comparison to the others), despite it being made for Adventure games.
-Despite Crystal Space's advances, I would think many of the reasons Phoenix chose to switch still applies.
-The Doom3 engine would likely cause much higher system requirements than makes sense for an Adventure game.

So, I am left with 4 choices which I think make sense. I won't be voting for Torque, because I wouldn't want to pick what is already being used... that, and I think that the others have more potential(but the cost... argh ;P ). A custom engine would be interesting, but it takes time to make(yes, I know I stated that time was not a concern ;P).

Now I am down to two. Source or Unreal. My knowledge of Source is far less than my knowledge of Unreal... so, knowing many of the advantages of Unreal, I must go with it. XD

Having said that... there is one feature I would love to see in an Adventure game: A havok physics-based puzzle. ;)

I pick Torque because it already looks good with it.  I would rather not risk screwing something up with a different engine or ruining the look.  :no:

I'd say perfect... but it's not an Adventure game. Now, as a puzzle WITHIN an Adventure game(such as TSL)... ;-D
