Does anyone know why they had to discard the "Every Cloak has a..." part in the title?  Is it just because it didn't sound right without the "King's Quest IX" in front of it?  Just curious.

I believe you can find the answer to this in the FAQ, but I'll expand a bit on the details.

First of all, the length is way too long for the title of this game: "Every Cloak Has A Silver Lining".  Keep in mind that each part has its own title as well: "Shadows", "The Two That Are One", "Eternities".  Also, each Chapter has its own title.

Secondly, the domain had to be changed from "kqix" and unfortunately www.echasl.com is way too difficult to remember.  Even now I can't remember the letters unless I say the words in my head. :P

Thirdly, the concept of "The Silver Lining" itself represents this project in many ways.  The most obvious one being when we were asked to cease and desist by VU.  When most games get shut down, that is the end of them.  However, we never gave up hope.  It didn't matter how large or dark the "cloud" felt, it had a silver lining. 8)
