Say, yes I do like Spiderman.  He's a great action hero, he's down to earth and we can relate to him.  But I know him more from the various tv series than the comics so as my friend Phil says I am not a "true" fan.

True or not I guess you're a fan already and that's not a bad thing at all, there are some factors I guess.
I'll take an example, I used to buy witchblade.... yes I did, then the tv show appeared and I started to go short on money and well I skipped a few... then I didn't mind about it, and yes i was pissed off about it at the beggining 'cause the tv show is like a different thing all over, the concept of everything is a whole new thing and well, then I just had to deal with it and just watch the damn show lol, but hey, I love witchblade still and I don't feel like a bad fan
She won't give me the money to buy her stuff right now

but Rich if  you would get to know a bit more the comic story!! honeslty, you would realize how dark it really is, and how it truly is it's real shape, on tv i never said it was bad, is way fine, but i don't know, maybe i was really into that sweet drama in the comics that now this looks totally different for me.
For example Nothingham is more misterious than tv, on tv he kinda looks like a nice guy, always saving her and stuff, it kinda puts everything in another perspective

Well Witchblade is cool too.  Lord of the Rings is awesome, but its not the only thing in the world.  Besides this is one of our biggest topics, and no one cheated here.  All posts are relevant more or less which is really sweet.  Sometimes its intresting to see where conversations can lead.

wow long thread! I thought I'd better stick my nose in! Well I wasn't a giant tolkien fan. Before the film cam out I'd only ever read the hobbit which was good. But as soon as the film came out I went and bought the trilogy and devored it in one month.
 Oh yea someone said earlier on about the mistake when gimli(the dawarf) saying that his cousin gloin was living in the mines of moria. This was because no one but gandalf and saruman knew what had happened in the mines. Oh and Say Frodo keeps the ring till the very end(almost anyway) but I'm not going to spoil it!
 Oh yeah and whats all this witchblade stuff??? I saw an advert for it on ICQ but it hasnt come out in the UK yet.

Wow alex, you read the old post here, hahah thanks for the info anyways, but is that right ? ? ? I guess Frodo eventually dont keep the ring in one part I remember reading it I guess? oh well, maybe i should just go and get the book instead

but THAT would be like ruin it for those who expect with love the second part, thats why i just cant wait to see the whole 3 movies, because the third part is just... WOW and im so dying to see how they are going to adapt it into the whole -movie scene-
BESIDES! gullam gets back on the second part too, remember him? the ugly little thing that had the ring before that hobbit's would find it, I guess he has a "bigger" appearance now in this second part, gullam was his name? I dont remember much, my "knowledge" about it kinda sucks I forgot so many things by now

One of my friends at work says that there is already a dvd quality version of the Two Towers released on the net somewhere.  I don't know about you but I don't want to see it and spoil the movie, I would prefer to wait and see it in the theatre.

Were nearing the end of September, soon December will be knocking on our door along with two of the most anticipated movies of the year : STAR TREK NEMESIS and THE TWO TOWERS

Can they beast out SPIDERMAN for the BEST MOVIE OF THE YEAR?  Only time will tell.............but I am eager to find out!  SPIDER AIN'T GOING DOWN WITHOUT A FIGHT!  Thanks to that sticky webbing of his.
