In case somebody's interested.....

Since I don't feel like typing lots of text over and over again, I guess it's better to simply give the straight link.

ok I got a question here, why would you give all the solutions wirtten down? i mean ok to get it faster right? but wouldnt be better just to make them like get it go though it all in case they might find an unusual mistake that you are not aware of??

I just wonder :)

Oh, the technical team WILL be adviced to try everything possible in every area. But once a tester feels like he's done with a certain area, he needs to get to the next part of the game quickly.

Of course, if he can't get to the next part on his own, he didn't truly try everything, but I doubt that's possible anyway without a printed copy of the script right next to you. (I tested KQ1VGA 3.0's translation features that way a while back. It took ages to get every possible message on the screen. With KQ2+, it'll take even longer)

So I'll return a question myself. Did you ever get stuck in an adventure game despite the fact you were convinced that you tried EVERYTHING? That's what the walkthrough and point list are for.

Looking forward to seeing the finished product, great job Tierra!  :)

I haven't played the game myself yet, so I'm quite curious as well. (however, for ME it's likely only a matter of days before I get it)

By the way, our writer Cadbury Wookie mentioned that it was likely our game would slightly contrast with KQ9's story. (I guess it was rather unavoidable in the fan-game world) But you guys will be the only ones to tell the true nature of the contrasts for now.

Erpy

Unfortunately, our plot writer is not willing to give out his ideas and plot, but you might pick up some things while playing the game and alter things at your project.

Since I'm not aware of KQ9's plot I don't know how many things will conflict, but I don't think there will be THAT many serious conflicts.

I played the beta version this weekend (being affiliated with a development team DOES have its advantages) and I can promise you that you will enjoy KQ2VGA. The game is as good as KQ6 if not better. It contains all aspects that made Heir today, Gone tomorrow good. Humor, Sierra references, tension (QFG4-like tension) and much, much more.

You weren't aware of us???? You ARE aware of the fact that we already completed a VGA-remake of KQ1, aren't you?

Rick_Florez

Thats too bad.  Well thanks Erpy for passing on the message.  Does that offer still stand to get one of our members on the beta testing team?  At the very least it will give us an idea exactly how different the game is from the original.  There will undoubtedly be some conflicts in the story line since KQ9 will reference itself to elements from every previous KQ.  I would have prefered to avoid any problems with Tierra, and the offer still stands but I also understand the fact that your writer does not want to share his ideas, especially over the net.  We probably would have felt the same way if the roles were reversed.   KQ9 is sequel to the originals anyway, but I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Well, unfortunately the beta testing stage has already started, so it's a bit too late to plan in extra people. That would only make things more complicated and I'm already having enough work as it currently is.  However, I'll announce it here when the game is completed and you'll be able to see what it's like.

It's very likely our plot lines are going to collide at some point. I consider that inevitable.

Our plot is really a complicated one, and it gives an answer to some of the facts that were not answered in past KQ.

Let's wait and see.

Yep!  I am looking forward to seeing how KQ2VGA turns out.  KQ1VGA was a very good game and was a lot of fun to play.  This one should be a blast too!

Rosedragon

I can't wait to see what Hagatha and Valanice look like in kq2vga

The world's cutest, sweetest dragon princess

Erpy

I have the feeling that Valanice, like KQ2, has been a bit of an underdog for quite a while. Most people didn't really like her in KQ7. But I'm sure people will like the new Valanice. I wouldn't be surprised if she suddenly got her own fanbase, simply because her dialogue pic looks so cute. (that's just my opinion though)

Hagatha will take up her role as antagonist, instead of being just another random monster you have to evade. She definitely looks good in an ugly kind of way. (know what I mean?)
