For POS' next project you guys should try and get The Williams' on board for it. Reading some recent interviews, its obvious that Ken has some great ideas that could be really innovative for the gaming industry, and all he would need is to be a little updated on new technology and in the recent news and games that have come out.
I, for one, think it would be really cool to the see the Williams' back in the gaming industry.

I certainly know they've been supportive of this project, but I think they're more interested in seeing what other new story ideas the POS team comes up with on its own rather than sending ideas to POS. ;) Of course, if they have open suggestions for a gaming *style* that's unique, then I think that would be welcome. :D

I just wish we had another Journeyman Project game. Not Sierra, but still an awesome awesome awesome adventure game.

Well, if not in the creative point, perhaps in a counselor position as far as the business aspect. I mean, Ken and Roberta are people who founded and built their company up from nowhere until it became the market share leader for computer and video gaming, and I can bet that if Sierra hadn't been sold and Ken was still the CEO, the company would still be on top. As it is, the Sierra name is still a major draw, which is probably why VG kept it, and is slowly rebuilding it.

Business advice could be useful, sure... :)

I am a big fan of Roberta and Ken Williams work! I got interested in their work about 2 years ago and since been obsessed, I played King's Quest 1-6 so far. I hope I can meet them someday.

Well, first off Roberta is not interested in making games again ever, according to her recent interview. That could change, but right now she doesn't want to have anything to do with games, instead she is more interested in picking up a career in writing literature.

QuoteAnd, for the future Roberta Williams: Probably, designing a computer adventure game is in the past; I’m more into ‘personal adventuring’ nowadays. I’m thinking in terms of writing a book, but, not on computer games or anything like that. I’m looking at writing an historical novel set in Ireland and the United States of 150 years ago (has to do with my ancestors, kind of like an Irish ‘Roots’). That is my passion right now. We’ll see where that goes...

Secondly, when Roberta left the industry she was forced to sign a waiver that essentially forbid her to make anymore games for a certain period of time, in order to prevent competition between the companies. I don't remember how much time that waiver covered, but it might still be in effect. If it still in effect she could put herself into position to be sued by Vivendi if she started working on games again.

I thought the Sierra name was essentially dead, but looks like Vivendi opened the division again, this year.

I haven't seen the Sierra logo on many so-called Sierra "produced" games in a long time, instead many of the games advertised on the Sierra website usually have the Vivendi, or Vinvendi Universal logos when released.  From what I've read there is no longer any sierra offices anywhere. Do they have new offices, or they just using part of Vivendi?.

I notice their website has brought back the original sierra logo, that might be a good direction especially for those of us that remember it.
Well, ya, King's Quest is on Earth. Daventry is very old city from a long time ago. It's in ruins now and people aren't quite sure exactly where it used to be. There are some archaeologists searching through the ruins, they think they know its Daventry. But its somewhere on Earth."-Roberta Williams http://kingsquest.wikia.com/wiki/File:Daventryisearth.ogg
