Graham's Cap
« on: August 04, 2006, 03:00:39 PM »
Hi

What is the true name of Graham's cap? I know it's called an "Adventurer's Cap" but, what is the cap/hat style's actual name, because I've seen the cap in movies that have a medieval setting such as Robin Hood and I've been wondering what the hat is really called so I can find some info on it and when exactly it was worn.

I don't know.  You might try asking the folks at the armour archive, if you can provide a picture.  :)

I've heard it referred to as a medieval ranger's hat, or even hunter's hat in other sources.

I don't think so. :P

I was confusing it with that other hat that people in the military wear, the one that doesn't have a visor.  What do you call that hat?

Ya did a bit more research into it, and most places I checked called the hat that Graham and Robin Hood wear, a "Hunter's Hat".
