I've finally found out where to go and I finished the demo, when will the next demo come out? :)

PS: If anyone wants a walkthrough please contact me by email and I will send one to you by email.

There are three responses for that:

1. When it does.

2. :suffer:

3. Sometime in the fourth quarter of this year, I've heard. ::)

Hi!  I played through the demo, and it is REALLY cool!  I'm not sure if I finished it, though.  I'm not sure whether this would be considered a spoiler or not, so just in case...
I talked to the oracle, and she told me to visit the Isle of Mists.
The title for Chapter 1 showed up, and the game exited.  Is this the actual end of the demo, or is there more?

Ok.  Thanks!  I can't wait for the next demo to come out!!  !!! Well, ok - I guess I can wait, since I don't have a choice.  ;D  Let's just say I will be EAGERLY awaiting the next demo!

  The demos are great BUT:

Aren't demos usually made for commercial games.  So they can give the customer an idea of the game.  I know this demo was an RC for vivendi.  But shouldn't there be no more demos until the acutal thing?  If you keep on going on giving out demos,  the whole game will be revealed in bits and pieces.  I say give the whole thing or none....

Or they could do what Sierra did for Freddy Pharkas and Space Quest 6  and create demos that act as an original mini adventure that have nothing to do with the main game's storyline...

...or not  :suffer:.
Well, ya, King's Quest is on Earth. Daventry is very old city from a long time ago. It's in ruins now and people aren't quite sure exactly where it used to be. There are some archaeologists searching through the ruins, they think they know its Daventry. But its somewhere on Earth."-Roberta Williams http://kingsquest.wikia.com/wiki/File:Daventryisearth.ogg

Awesome idea...but I think they already have enough work on their backs....

I think your all missing what the point of this demo was.  It was not to showcase a section of the game to generate interest in the final game (which is what a demo is used for in a commercial sense).  It was to give you, the fan base, something to show you what the dev team has been doing aside from screenshots and journal entries.

That said, consider the demo a taste of things to come as a way of thanks for the years of support.  :)

Well it tasted quite well. So will there be another demo OR are we going all the way to the full SHADOWS?

A demo is short for a "demonstration".  It has nothing to do with commercial software or games.  Those of you studying Computer Science, Software Engineering or Computer Engineering know exactly what it means to demo your project to someone.  There's no cash involved (even though it would be nice ;P), it's just a small build of the entire game.

Both actually. XD I'm not involved with Programming, so they work on Shadows while I work on the demos. ;P  There are some fixes that cross between both software branches, but in general they are treated as two separate software development processes. :)

As far as I know, there is no confirmation at all that there even will be a second demo... I think the demo was made so people have less of a reason to badmouth the team. (besides, it certainly shows me that they have been working quite diligently! Bravado!  :iluvu:;D

What reason would they have to badmouth our team? ;P
