I can't believe it! But it's true! Read here!

Interesting... :gossip:

With all these great legends coming back to the industry, I believe we may see a shift in video game standards very soon. 8)

About time too. The last couple of years it has been filled with shooters, sims and sport games. Several shooters were nice, I hate the Sims and never cared about sport games either and people still claim that adventure games aren't really interesting anymore . . .
It seems totally incredible to me now that everyone spent that evening as though it were just like any other. From the railway station came the sound of shunting trains, ringing and rumbling, softened almost into melody by the distance ...

I'd like to point out she never really left the industry... She was in charge of a company that made a couple of flash based games.

Through that company she even made a few games of her own, including one that was like a cross between an adventure game and minesweeper, betrapped.
Well, ya, King's Quest is on Earth. Daventry is very old city from a long time ago. It's in ruins now and people aren't quite sure exactly where it used to be. There are some archaeologists searching through the ruins, they think they know its Daventry. But its somewhere on Earth."-Roberta Williams http://kingsquest.wikia.com/wiki/File:Daventryisearth.ogg

Ok, maybe she never left, but no one really heard much from her during that timeframe. :P  If they did, they wouldn't be as excited about this announcement. 8)

They were excited enough to make a big deal about Betrapped on various adventure game websites, :p...

Well, apparently not excited enough to make one on ours. :suffer:

XD

You are never exited enough to make announcements about other companies games from what I can remember... This site mainly only announces news about TSL...

Oh, of course I'm not going to advertise other people's games when I don't work for them. Although, I did write up most of the paraphrasing for our Links page, including the latest update for The Exchange Student. 8)

But I meant none of our fans made any announcements about her until today. 8)

I probably could have, but I mostly just hang around in Plot. But believe me when I learned about both Betrapped and Inpector Parker, I picked up both. I learned about it through "Just Adventure", and several other big name adventure game news sites.

Oh btw the music in both of those games was done by the person who did the music for Gabriel Knight.

That might have something to do with the fact that he's Jane's husband.
Once the votes are read, the decision is final. The person voted out will be asked to leave the Tribal Council area immediately. I'll read the votes...

To be honest, I've never played Jane's games (Unless she worked on KQ a little). I would be interested in seeing this though. I think that in time the Williams may return to video games. Not neccesarily KQ, but I believe in years to come, the name Williams may be heard again on non-adventure game sites. I haven't seen Gamespot mention her since the Greatest games of all times list.

Jane worked on KQ6.

I can't believe I just saw this thread today. :'( I might have been able to convince my parents to let me get my copies of GK and GK2 and KQ6 signed.

Where could I get a copy of Gabriel Knight? I am interested in branching out to the other games made by sierra employees who are famous amongst the confines of this website... Also, isn't the convention mentioned in the article only a few weeks away... I could've sworn that the convention was in august... Maybe I'm wrong... I don't think I am though...

Believe me, it wasn't yesterday. I would know. I believe it takes place on the twenty something. My watch claims the date is august 17th... I think it's happening in the next two weeks... :)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it doesn't even state the date of the convention in the first place. I heard the next two weeks from gamespot. I visit it daily. My knowledge on video game news is vast (I hope...) I think what you were thinking of was the august 16th thing, which I thought was the date the press release was given... Not sure though. And if it was yesterday, wouldn't we have heard more about Jane's game by now?

The date of the press release was August 16th, and the last line of it says 12:30h, so it's a valid assumption to think it was yesterday. :P
