Can anyone help me on a nice destination for my holiday next year. Since there are people of lots of different regions this could help me plan something to see.
If you know a good place tell about it what you can see and do there.

tnx

Denmark.. the land of all that is good, barely dressed ladies, cheap food and liquour, and lots and lots of fun.

No? Ok. I hate my own country too. :P

I always will suggest iceland. The nature is just magnificent. The people, the culture.. everything is worth the while.

Alternatively, the northern most point of Norway is worth a visit too.

:)

Well it all depends on what you want to see and what climate you want. If you want to come to the states, I would go to the Northwest states or to Arizona and see the Grand Canyon or to Idaho and see Hells Canyon its not as long but it is way deeper. British Columbia is really pretty and if you want beutiful ocean and coniferous(sp?) trees try Prince Edward Island in the fall. (Oh when do you take your holidays?)(Forgive me if I am being ignorant and naive. ;D)

My holiday will probably be July next year so enough time to think where to go. And I really don't know what I want to do, just getting to an amusement park/seeing some historical buildings/active holiday etc. etc.

The only real vacation spots around here are in the UP, and they mostly consist of the skiing, hiking hunting sort. Unless the Grand Rapids furniture museum sounds like it is worth going all the way around the world to see.  ;D

Seriously I dunno, it depends on how far you want to go and what you want to do.  Looking at some local websites and travel guides might be the best plan.  :)

Just go do the UK. Go visit Tintern Abbey in Wales. Westminister in Britain.
Go visit a Gaeltacht region of Ireland. Also, hit up all the castles in Scotland from Macbeth such as Inverness and Forres.  ;D that's what I'd like to do one of these days...

I hav just got back from spain...salou to be exact!
The weather was gorgeous even for september. got a lovely tan. We were 10 mins walk from Port aventura... we went on this ride (Dragon Khan)

Next door, literally to that is a small water park with slides etc. 20 mins away in La Pineda is a much better and bigger water park called Aqupolis

The beach was 5 mins from our hotel
We went to barcelona for the day to visit las ramblas with all its human staues and the olypic stadium, and barcelona football club!
Went to visit gaudi's Sagrada Familia and also on the ocean wave to swim in the Med, did a bit of snorkelling too!
The night life was brilliant, some really good clubs. Lots of shops with cheap clothes...and that about sums up my holiday lol! All done in one week. We even found out on the last day that there were some ruins 10 mins away that we didnt know about!!

What are the rules for spkating in all the countries? I was thinking to take my skates whit me. What do you have to wear as protection? (here in the Netherland you don't have to wear any protection at all)

In the US it would probably depend on where you skate.  I've never done it, so I really don't know though.  I seriously doubt that anyone would stop you if you just went out to a public river or lake or whatever but they might make you wear something if you go to a commerical rink, if only to protect themselves from getting sued. And if any law exists it would probably be a state, not a federal, law so the answer could be very differant in differant parts of the country. My 2 cents anyhow.  :)
