Welcome back, Shades!  What is Dragon Con?

What is Dragon Con? That's a tough one to put into words.
It's four days of fun filled, costume wearing, science fiction/fantasy, geek fest.  ;D How does that sound? ;D

It's really fun check it out. http://www.dragoncon.org/

I got to see actors, actresses, authors, artist, and find out about up-and-coming books, movies, and games.

Very cool.  I see that Summer Glau from the Firefly television series was there.  That is extremely cool.  It's one of my favorite sci-fi series.

Looks very cool. Sadly it's not posible for me to visite  such events over there (to far away). But here we have almost simulair events.
the elf fantasy fair for example. I's an event where loads of fantasy people go to. The style is a bit lord of the ring style. loads of people come to that event in a costume.

and to all who came back WB
and for all who are going hope to see you all soon

Yes she was and so was Wash. He is very funny. Joss is trying to see if they can start a new Firefly series for TV. We'll see.

Last I heard Whedon had given up on a television rendition of Firefly... as much as I and every other browncoat would love for what you say to be true... I have to ask for something in the way of verification... not that I don't believe you... it's just that multus dictus est et parvus factus est... err... much has been said and little has been done... ie- plenty of rumors in the past

Last Dragon Con they said NO TV series period, their focus was movies and they hoped the first would do well enough to make two more. Well, it didn't. Now they're talking about trying to get the TV series going again but not until he's done with Wonder Woman.  I doubt it will happen but we'll see.

After what happened in the movie (Serenity) my favorite characters couldn't be in the series any more. :'( Still, I'd absolutely love to see a return of Firefly if not for the mere reason of finding out what happens between Inara and Mal.

Actually they said that IF the TV series happens that Wash and Book (sp?) will be back. I'm presuming that it will take place before the movie.

Thank you for that. I just wanted to make sure that this came from them and wasn't just talk... sorry, if I came off hard or curt (as I thought I had when I reread my post recently), it's just recently I've been thinking: "I miss Firefly... I want it back" and the like

Yeah, I think if they continue the series they might pick up where they left off and rewrite the movie as a major story arc... especially since the pace of movies in general is more rushed than a tv series... they could definitely get away with some interesting plot twists and whatnot...
