 Well, I'll be the first to admit I don't know much about movies, but aren't there a lot of ways box offices can rate movies? Rated 9th in a weekend, a year that sort of thing?

According to this site Madagascar came in 9th in 2005 in gross income. I'm not sure if that is what you are looking for or not.
