QuoteChip's Challenge? I love that game! :D
I actually have it on my computer now... ;D
Same here. I saw it on my friend's computer and I *had* to get it.

Anyway, I played KQ5 first, and it is still my favorite, although KQ6 is close behind. I've played all the games except MoE for obvious reasons.

QuoteKQ9 was fun, but all the characters died and the puzzles were too easy and the graphics went back to 2D and the voices were way out of sync... oh wait, that was just a nightmare.
KQ9 ?!?  ??? Don't you mean KQ6?
All that is gold does not glitter
Not all who wander are lost
The old that is strong does not wither
Deep roots are not touched by the frost

From the ashes a fire shall be woken
A light from the shadows shall spring
Renewed shall be blade that was broken
The crownless again shall be king

*Goes back and re-reads it* Oh, Yeah. Missed the nightmare part. ;)

ROTFL! XD It's OK, El... Ellie... Ellie-May. There, a nice nickname. Aragorn always DID look like an Ellie-May to me. XD haha...

And you guys are FOPMUFFINS if you think:
a. Chip is a good name.
b. Chip is sane for doing all that crap for a geeky computer club.
c. YOU are sane for enjoying the torture and unintelligble "Sound FX." Gah, I heard them in my sleep forever.

That is the worstest game ever. Why did I play it through?! I went bald and grey from it. In that order. :P Someone draw a piccie of being bald and grey and you have the effects of Chips Challenge. Case Closed.

My first was KQ2 on a Tandy with NO hard drive so I had to use a floppy disk to save my games. Little did I know that leaving your disk in the drive all year around was a BAD thing to do, I even gave that poor brave and hard working disk a funeral for helping me fall in love with Seirra games. :)

After part two I saw KQ4 had just come out and was surprised to see the lead was a woman. This was WAY before Lara Croft and I hadn't heard of Samus Aran yet. So I begged my mom to get it and from then on I got every Sierra game I could get my hands on *heh*

Yes I had used that floppy to play KQ1, 2, 3, & 4. SQ 1, 2, & 3 and Maniac Mansion. That disk had really toughed it out for me. It was a tradgic day when the disk became fully unusable and I was AMAZED to finally see just how many bad sectors a computer's magnetic feild could put on a disk. It was like some skin dieseas there VERY few usable good sectors left on it. I've never used a disk like that again, tough I had fried a few of those AOL cd's in the microwave those are always fun to abuse.  ;D ;D

Hahaha! XD An experiment in storage abuse, huh? ;P Did all those games files really fit on one floppy?? :o

Yep save game files back then at least weren't all that big. I'm also talking about the 3.25 disks which I have the bbad habit of calling "floppy" even though their not. I didn't have all the saves on at once I would erase saves that I didn't need as I played the games. Ahh memories of playing through that DAMN desert in SQ1 having to dodge all those rocks!

The original KQ2 was easy expcet finding out the fact that your only allowed to walk across thjat bridge a certain amount of times. I thought it was funny that wakling over a bridge kept racking me up points until *CRASH* Oops....

KQ3 was alot more challenging unless you make that Teleportation Stone which can teleport you ANYWHERE including RIGHT in front of the Dragon that has Rosella!! Talk about short cut, I didnt' even have to get on the pirate ship! I just kept teleporting until I was on top of the monutain! lol

It's not such a bad habit - 3.25" disks are also called "floppy". They may not be as floppy as the 5.25" ones, but they're still heck of a lot floppier than hard disks ;)

Funny, I thought you could just teleport with that inside the area you're in ???

Well I think it was more around the point where you first get on the pirate ship that I started abusing the teleporting stone. It sent me to the desert, the ocean, to the port WITHOUT the ship, to the cliffside and eventualy the top of the cliff.

First KQ, huh?  Hmm, that's actually a tough one, for me.  I watched my dad play the first few way back before I understood the workings of the keyboard, lol.  Ah, Sir Graham in dynamic 16 colors.  Anyway, the first was I played was probably V, thought I may have attempted one and two, or even four (I can't for the life of me remember III, it may have been broken. But I played it later).  The first KQ (and video game) I owned was VI, the CD version in the white box, and it's still one of my favorite games.  For nostalgia's sake, it may be my favorite, but Final Fantasy III (VI in Japan) really gives it a run for it's money . . .

Hmm, both the sixth entry in a fantasy series . . .
And Return of the Jedi is traditionally my favorite SW film. . . odd.

Well, mine was KQ7. I got the game free with windows 95 :P. But then I played kq1, kq2, kq6 and MoE :P
:)

Lord Fifee

My first was KQ4. Then I played KQ6. And then KQ1 and KQ2. After this I played KQ5 and after this KQ3. After KQ3 I played KQ8 and then KQ7!  ;)
WOW! I like your game! Keep up the good work! Fansite coming soon... (Kq1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9!)

Ah, KQVI. The glory days. First played in '94 on my state-of-the-art Gateway 2000 PC, on a CD-Rom nonetheless. Voices in video games? Who knew. My Dad was amazed when me and my brother told him what we were playing. He said he remembered playing up to III and getting stuck towards the end. Apparently he had been a video game fiend before I came along and then passed all his computer knowledge on to my older brother. Anyway, at the end of '94, we picked up KQVII and...to tell you the truth never got past the graveyard. We weren't big on walkthroughs. After finding KQ I+II on some old diskettes of my brother's friend, we played those for a while. Finnally, in '97, we picked up the Roberta Williams Anthology. I've never played VIII, and don't really feel the need to.

First was 7. Still my favorite cuz I'm all girly. :P
I got to start playing that when Dad would drag me to his office until midnight+. He stuck it on the secretary's computer, and I was happy until I fell asleep on the floor, curled up under the desk.

Then came 5, 6, 4, MoE, 1 & 2. I've still never played 3. I feel like a traitor or something. :P
Is it sleepy time yet?
