I like KQIII, KQV, KQVI, KQVII, KQVIII :D, actually you might as well say all of them XD

My first KQ was KQ1 -and- 2...  Back when I was little.  But we got rid of them...  Well, my mum made my brother delete them due to something that Yonkey knows, and it's really really dumb, lol.

But yeah.  The enhanced KQ1 annoyed me.  I was like

My first Kings Quest was KQ2.  It was way back when I lived in Germany.  They had a computer section tucked away in the Canadian Military General Store on the Kaserne.  Anyway, I played a bit on one of the computers there.

I couldn't make it out of the damned house I started in...and if I did, I couldn't make it off the mountain.  I dunno...I didn't get to play that much.

(I also got to play some Liesure Suit Larry 3...a smart friend of mine knew most of the answers to the quiz at the beginning, so we got to see some animated 2D boobies.) :D

Okay...got a little sidetracked...boobies...*ahem*

Anyway, after Germany, I frigged around with KQ1 and I never figured that game out.  I don't know why...maybe I'm just a putz.  Then somewhere along the way, I got my grubby mits on KQ5.  I played that throughout and finished it.  (with no thanks to that annoying owl!)

So, really...I haven't been really "INTO" the KQ series...but my interests have been rekindled in all those old adventure/quest games by Say and the work seen completed by this team.

I want all the LSL games, all the SQ games (God bless ye, Roger Wilco!), PQ's 1-3, and all the KQ games.  I need to see if the games are still smarter than me. :D

The first time I played KQ3, my English sucked as well... I had just started learning English a year or two before. I had this notebook where I wrote all the game words, like "open", "look" and "nightshade juice" :P
I did manage to get off the mountain, but not to finish the game - mostly due to my poor english and the fact that I didn't have the spellbook manual  :P

However, I did find out how to use the debug mode and get all the items... so I think I did manage to defeat the wizard at some point ;]

<sigh> I was like 7 or so... not really good at english at all, learned some words but I usally search a dictionary for 'difficult' words like closet and such ; )

7?? Geez, I don't think I started learning English before I was 9. At 7, my own language was hard enough to master  :-\

hmmm... we are beeing taught english at school from 9 or so. Guess that explains my (lack of) english skill ; ) hahaha....

I knew open, look, take, room and a bit more. so I looked at everything (starting with room and such) and I used every word in the description in combinaton with take.... hahahaha, I made some weird combo's without noticing it ; )

KQ6 about seven years ago. It was my first real computer game and we played it all as a family. And from then on I was hooked.

AnAdventurer

My first KQ games was the KQ1 remake. I must have been 6 or 7 when I played it, so naturally I was terrible
(if only I had given some attention to fairy tales instead of playing Wolfenstein 3D.) All I ever did was find the pouch, give it to the troll, never quess the gnome's name, and try to get passed the giant. But I loved it. In fact, my second grade teacher assigned a creative story about a giant-bet you can't guess what game I based the story on. ;-D Most kids could barely write a page, but I wrote 10 pages of pure introduction before my teacher made me move on...It was a couple years before I played another KQ game, but I visited a relative who owned KQ6. I could not sleep at night till I got my own copy of the game; I wanted to be Alexander when I grew up. KQ6 was the first KQ game I completed. From then until now I've played just about every Sierra adventure game. Today, it's sad to see Sierra move away from its roots.  :-\

i found KQ1 as the most boring of all purely cos it didnt have much of a plot :-\

Oh, yah, KQ1 was boring. In fact, I almost never played the KQ series at all because the first I played was KQ1 and it was just so dull I couldn't even finish it. :P

Peace & Luv, Liz

Questing Character

I never played MoE, but I hate it.
I haven't played KQ7, but it doesn't look *too* bad.
I really like KQ6.  Sure, some things could have been done better, but mostly, it was superb.
KQ5 was mediocre.  A lot of it could have been done better, but it was still a really good game.
KQ4 was awesome except for that troll.  I wanted a way to kill that troll!!
KQ3 was always my favorite until that KQ3+ thread came along and now it's gone all the way done to sub-mediocre.
KQ2 was my *least* favorite.  It had no plot!!!
KQ1 I liked, it ranks up there with KQ5.

Questing Character

Well, my brother had the demo of MoE for a little while.  And I watched him play it a little bit...so I'm not *totally* clueless.
My brother did say the swamp witch looked cool, though.  I only ever saw him with those carnivorous plants and those ogres.  It seemed like such a waste, there were no puzzles at all!  Seriously, there ought to have been enough in it that I could have seen ONE!
