Okay.. there's a few things with this forum that I need to get off my chest! But worry not, they're all bugs! :P

1. Smileys are no longer animated for me. I use Firefox. Any connection?

2. If I try to see the posts of a user that has over a few thousand posts, the page never loads. Is there any explenation for this?

And lastly..

I've been getting weird "page could not load" errors every now and then, especially when trying to post.

Just thought I would report it.  8)

Well, I still have the animation, but numbers 2 & 3, I've been experiencing as well this morning.

Have you tried fiddling with the Firefox settings? I think it acts weird with animations sometimes. Maybe it's a firewall thing?
As for the viewing posts thing, that happens to me too. XD

I'm with Cat.  Smilies still work, but no. 2 and 3 I've noticed. Also, I have hard time getting to people's general stats. I wanted to see how much time various membes have spent online.  :P

Smileys aren't animating for you guys? :o They seem to work fine for me.  ::)  I'm using Firefox 1.5.0.7.

#2 and #3 might be connected, I'll try repairing the database now and see if that fixes it...

They weren't animating for me earlier. I can't explain it, they seem to work just fine now. Though the last 2 problems still persist. I hope you have luck fixing it. :)

Try it now and let me know if it's working. :)

It doesn't work for me. And by that I am referring to viewing people's posts if they have too many posts. I tried you and Cat, neither would load.  :(

I just tried viewing a lot of people's last posts from Cat down to Merlin in order of number of posts. It didn't work for racx, Deloria, Tribe or me. Merlin was the first one it worked for.

Maybe because I have so little posts?

Or do you mean it worked for me? Because I can't view anybody's last posts. :(

I could view your last posts, but no one higher than yours, including my own. I have not tried anyone lower, I'll do that and see if the hypothesis that post counts effect the viewability of last posts is correct.  :)

EDIT: Whatever it is isn't very consitent. When I went back I could view my and tribe's last posts, and the posts of members all the way up to Lollotte. Groupies were still not working. It goes seem to be effected by post count, but not in a consitent way. I have no idea what that means or if it is helpful, but that's what I figured out, so I thought I'd tell you all just in case.  :P

It probably has to do with how busy the server is.  Try it when less people are accessing the forum.  If it's still not working, then it's because there isn't enough RAM on the VPS (the server that's hosting the forum database).

Also, I think there is a forum upgrade (RC3), but I'll install that when I get a chance.  It has a few fixes, one being the search feature, and maybe this problem will get fixed in the process too. :)

For me it happens regardless of how many people are on the forum. I have had this problem for quite a while now.. :(

Ok.  It's probably the server then. :-\ I guess just wait until I install RC3, and if it still occurs at that time we might need to upgrade our plan.
