I dont see 4 gazillion messenger programs.
You don't need to. Several multi-messenger programs are available, so you only need that one program connecting to all your different networks and you're all set. ICQ, AIM, MSN, Yahoo, IRC, no problem (sometimes depending on your OS and the IE-version installed). I currently have three messenger programs, 1) ICQ (which can only connect to the ICQ network, obviously), 2) Trillian (which can connect to ICQ and AIM, but not MSN (yet)) and 3) GAIM (to connect to ICQ, AIM and MSN). Trillian is better looking than GAIM, but GAIM can do MSN, so, if Trillian can't make me connect to MSN, GAIM wins, otherwise Trillian does. It's as simple as that.

Yeah, I know. But since MSN in and of itself sucks, who cares if the official MSN program sucks or not? ;)

Both the MSN Messenger and MSN might suck. I can't comment on the MSN messenger, because I don't use it. I can only comment on the suckyness of the MSN-network. :suffer:

Two things you can do:
a) downgrade to 6.0 (if that's possible, I don't know)
b) use another messenger program.

Oh no no no thanks, I prefer to b**** at it and wait for a next version, 6.0 has sort of the same bugs anyways, and about other messenger program that wouldnt be a wise move for me since I have half of my life in msn including the entire kq team contact list, and such. And I dont like trillian.

If you don't like Trillian, there are always other multi-messenging programs out there, and even some webbased single ones (only MSN) too! Besides, can't Trillian import an MSN contact list? It could import my ICQ contact list (and so could GAIM), didn't have an MSN contact list yet, and still don't (in Trillian).
