Hey

A question for the programming department: I was wondering if there were any plans to put in any cheats, or any special modes of any sort like a "Kill Conor Mode" where you would be allowed to have a sword and kill Conor or something. Any cheats at all?

Considering the guy playing Connor was at our chat and is a really nice guy, I don't think so. :P

There are "cheats" that we use to set up scenes.  The camera adjusting things that I accidentally left in the RC1 were one of them.  But they'll all be taken out in the final game.  The closest thing to what you're suggesting would be more like easter eggs.  8)

Yeah the WSAD thingy that controlled the camera. I played around with that.

What about Debug mode? That's the mode that programmars use when making a game. It allows the tester to have all of the items in the game in the inventory at the start. It's basically the testing mode. In the sims it lets you do a whole lot more that you would originally have to go through a whole number of steps to achieve. Are there any plans to make a special debug mode of the game? Or you could beat the game once and then after that debug mode is activated? Just a question...

There is a Torque console that allows you to run any line of script (so not only can I go to scenes directly, I can add/remove inventory objects, define variables, swap clothes, etc).  I use it in the development version of the demo on my computer, but I obviously remove it for the public version. XD

I accidentally left the camera "debug mode" inside RC1 and you should have seen how many people were freaking out because of that. :P  Personally, I always found it fun to move the camera around. XD

Maybe you could have it as a stand-alone download, sort of like a patch, but optional. It would have all sorts of cheats and codes in it and how to activate them, but you can only use them by downloading the specific "patch". What do you think?  :P

I think if people want to cheat, they'll do so.  Regardless of whatever "patch" I make. ;P

I can tell you now that I won't cheat, because I want to play this game honestly. Strategy guides are a different story though... But I admit that I cheat often on my games! *Blushes* I am currently playing Mask of Eternity with God Mode, and it makes the game so much more tolerable (not to mention easier!)!
