What Video Card are you using (ATI Users)?

This poll is intended to assist the development team in knowing the kinds of video cards most used to play the TSL demo.  This will help the development team to get a bigger picture in regards to what is being used versus what is not being used by the intended audience (you). 

To vote, select the video card option that is the closest match for your video card.  For example, if you are using an ATI Radeon X1950 XTX, select the option Radeon X1950.  If your video card is not listed, please select the option "Other (Non-Supported Video Card).

9600 XT. Never caused me any problems with TSL.

Ahh ok - thats what he meant.  I don't see much point in polling sound cards... they are all pretty much the same thing (either your running an integrated sound chip or you have a dedicated card).  Either way wouldn't have too much of an impact on performance... or shouldn't anyway.

As for the Radeon 9600 XT that Peter is using, I'm not surprised to hear it runs TSL without any problems.  For ATI-based cards, anything from the Radeon 8500 or later should run TSL with zero problems (meaning good solid frame-rate at the default resolution in full-screen mode).  Anything prior to the Radeon 8500 and you'll start running into issues where you'll have to adjust the resolution and running the game in Windowed mode to achieve a playable framerate.

ATI which is now AMD/ATI supports ATI 9500 and later with new video drivers currently.  I guess that puts a few people out of luck as far as the newest games go but I guess The SL will not push the video graphics boundary very high if a 8500 or later video card works well.  BTW, I am still chugging along well with my dual-boot of 98SE and XP Pro. on 2 separate hard disks.

Got a new one. It calls itself Radeon X1550 and supposedly has 256Mb. It also has no fan, is that normal or did I buy crap again? Anyway, it runs the demo just fine, so who cares
