It's one cat, Katie and I can make sure that the place is vaccumed, dusted and mopped. And she's not much of a people person, so she'll most likely stay in our room or the guest room. You may never see her. We'll move her food dish into our room. So it may not be so bad at all. I don't know how allergic you are. I have a friend who puffs up like a balloon as soon as he enters most people's houses who have cats, but he's ok in our apartment (well, he gets a little watery - eyed, but that's about it).
I was horribly allergic to cats. My eyes would turn blood red and my skin would get irritated and become puffy and red.
So when I got the cat for my wife, I basically rubbed my face in her fur every day until my body stopped being allergic to her. Now I'm fine

Not that I'm suggesting you do the same.
