Sierra DVD Artwork

LucasArts fans have them and so should us Sierra fans for our collections. So far I've done a SQ collection and I'm working on a KQ collection one. I have a larger version of the SQ one if anyone wants to print it out and use it.



Here's my KQ idea so far. I'm thinking of having leather lining on the corners and spine and having a buckle on the right middle. Just gotta learn how to make it look real...

Well done they all look good. 

Between the two black SQ covers I like the red border idea but I like all the information you have on the back of the other black cover better.

The red border on that one is simply the artwork on the back of the original SQ1 box. I didn't add that. It does look nice, though. But I needed the room for all that information on the collection case.

I just did a quick B/W print of it, considering the font size you might ba able to get away with puting a red border on it if you wanted to adjust the size a little.

Also I just noticed the lower SQ logo just above the Sierra logo.

I'm not sure if you're trying to make a watermark but you might want to adjust the transparency a bit, it seems a bit too dark.

I still like it though.

It's not a watermark (if you're talking about copy protection etc). I just thought it would look neat faded there . You're the second person who said it was a little too dark, though, so maybe I should change it. I don't want it really bright, though. Just noticable enough to know it's there. Kinda looks cool faded out like that.

Since we're talking Sierra's KQ series, I think it would be best if the KQII screenshot was from the game and not AGDI's version...but that's my only suggestion It looks great!

Impressive I like it a lot.

I would suggest a CD or DVD logo on the bottom of the spine.
I tend to be a border person myself and would suggest shifting your white field up a tad to center it and see how a slight gold border would look. It might not work I don't know.
I think the title is a little to ... embossed(?) bumpy.
And I agree with Koko that you should change the KQII picture.
It does beg to be asked "Has someone made a KQ remake collection cover?" It might be interesting.

Actually I put the KQ2VGA screen there on purpose as I have both remakes in my collection and they are officially licenced by Vivendi so I consider them part of the official series. But that's my personal preference. And since I'm the one making the artwork it's my perogative. I will be making a DVD cover based on the new compilation release artwork as well, however, so I'll change all the screenshots for that one.

I originally wanted to have screenshots from all games and all remakes but it wouldn't fit...oh well.

And about shifting the white up a tad, yeah I think you're right it isn't balanced very well there. I'll try and fix that up later on.

They look so professional! Amazing! I just wonder what exactly these are used for... I assume you print these out and put them on a DVD case of some kind for our games... Correct me if I'm wrong... If that's what these are for, I will try my best to accomodate them... I would need a two DVD case for my KQ collection though, seeing as it's two discs. I love them though! The wood idea seemed pretty awesome too though! Keep up the good work! Pretty professional!

Thanks so much, guys. I may still do a wooden one...it's just I wanted to come up with like a leather lining and a buckle or something but I wasn't sure how to go about it. I'm not too good at creating textures.

And yes they're for a standard DVD case to house your game discs nicely, easily, and space-saving-ly .

And I desperately wanted to have all the screenshots there but there just isn't enough room. I may get rid of the MOE screen and fit in KQ5, though. Along with replacing the KQ2VGA screen with the AGI version instead for all you picky people .

I agree! I love the picture on the front. And the feather, although it took me a second to realize why there's a red feather. It's a really nice touch though.

If anyone succeeds in printing either of these out and using them in a DVD case I'd love to see some photo's of a finished product of my work if at all possible . Just a general request to everyone out there.
