When I'll get home I'll try! I have school now though. (A very interesting school day I must admit... Already there's an accident, and I am forbidden to enter the Hallway, and then practically all of my classes are cancelled due to something which I cannot discuss.) I'll try and print them later on today! I'll see what I can do!

I just had an "I'm and idiot" moment. I spent like five minutes trying to get the cover into outside of the dvd box when my dad came over and just bent the sides backwards so the old cover would actually come out.

That sounds interesting. I assume it was something horrible if you can't discuss it here.

Not yet, the first one was too big. I resized it and printed it out in black and white to make sure it fits this time, but I will have to wait till my dad can print it out in color at his work tomorrow. But so far, it's looking great.

I will also have to see if I can get our digital camera working, otherwise I won't be able to post any pics.

Did you use regular sized paper? Everytime I print it out at the appropriate size the printer margins cut off the picture and print the rest on a second sheet of paper. I can't figure it out. Maybe I just need longer paper.

Yes, you'll need to print it on and 8x14 page so it wont be either shrunk or span two sheets.

There were two pictures of it around here somewhere that were posted during the contest. It's been tweaked since then but is essentially still the same.

Yea, resizing it to show all of the picture made it a little too small. But it works for now, unless I ever get longer paper.

Yes it will come out small on 8.5x11 Maybe you can find some 8.5x14 at school somewhere.

It is designed for the single DVD case size. And I've test printed it several times. I have one in a case on my desk now.

Contest?? Errr...I didn't know my material was entered for any contest.

I'm the one who made them. I'm just wondering how they look in actual DVD cases since I haven't gotten copies printed for myself yet.

MusicallyInspired if you used Photoshop I can help you with a template that will help you make sure the size of your cover it correct. If you're interested please PM me with your address and i can send it to you.

My problem isn't with the size of the picture. I use Nero's CD Cover Designer to print out my labels and case sleeves. It has the correct dimensions that you can size any image to and it works wonders. It's just that my paper isn't big enough, it seems. Thanks anyway, though.

However, here's a question: It seems that there should be enough space left on a regular sized piece of paper to finish printing the rest of the picture, it just doesn't because of the margin parameters. Shouldn't it be possible to "tell" the printer that I'm using 8.5x14 paper or whatever by changing the paper settings in the printer options but fool it by using regular paper instead? If the picture doesn't run off the paper (which I don't think it will) wouldn't it complete properly on a regular piece of paper? It's just the dang margins I can't get the printer to ignore.

Have you tried either telling the printer you're "using" 8.5x11 paper while using the larger one? Or changing the margins to 8.5x11

I'd say it depends on the printer you are using.

Printers will only print so close to the edge of the paper regardless of the parameters of the program you are using so and that cover should be stretching into those margins to which it can not print. Sorry.

But how does the printer know what size paper you're using? I was talking about the printer settings in Control Panel not the print settings of a specific program.

Yay! Finally got our digital camera working.

Although I'm assuming it was meant to go on a thinner case, in which case it would probably fit better, but I wanted to be able to multiple cds in it.
