Would you prefer to download TSL or own a hard copy?

Download please. I <3 the environment!
Buy the box! I like to hold things in my hands :)

Now this doesn't mean that TSL is coming in a box but it's quite interesting to see how people view the growing trend of downloable products vs physical products.

I myself am pledging to download a game whenever there is a choice over buying it in physical form as it's my little bit towards keeping the planet ticking away nicely.

Thoughts?

I like to have it physically. Therefore you have proof of owning it, plus I enjoy flicking through the manual and having a read.

Personally, I prefer downloadable programs.  I don't think I've bought a box-version of anything in at least a decade. :P

I'm with Racx. While downloading it is more convenient, I feel safer having it physically. Plus I like having the game and box just for the sake of having them.

I do enjoy downloads, but getting a box is like having a treasure or a present in your hands. I can hold it and go, "Wooooooowwww..." and stare at it in awe like a little kid.

Delling

Can the box be absurdly big like a refrigerator box or similar so that we can play fort with it and any other box games we can think of?

With a box, it comes with all the cool stuff to read like the manual and the box itself. That's part of the fun part! :P

And I SOOOOOO agree with Delling. XD

Buuuuut most of those things come as PDF's now so you can save the environment even more by just looking at them on the screen or printing them off yourself!!

Environment... box... environment... box........

I am ashamed to say that the box still wins. I'm a disgrace to the Green Party.  :(

BumpOnALog

Well I don't really care about the environment or anything , but I'd still prefer the download.
It'd be cool to have the box and manual to actually hold in your hands, but I'd rather not go through the trouble of trying to set it up right and install it correctly.  I'm probably just an idiot, but I find it so much easier to just download the game than to play it from an actual CD  ;-D.

make a box of recycled paper. That way it's better for nature. And for the downloading if you have a slow conection it isn't good for nature too due too energy use. So when you have a slow internet conection use a recycled paper box  ;D

Ahhhh, fair point. It's decided then: box wins no matter what!  ;D

Oldbushie

I like the idea of having a box... or at least a hardcopy of the game in case of emergencies on the computer. XD

If the game is released as an iso, it could easily be burned to CD/DVD and then provided artwork could be used for CD labels or somesuch. :D
