pretty simple just do the following.

Name a band(s)/group(s)/solo artist(s)/DJ(s)/MC(s)/Rapper(s) (WHATEVER!...(s)) thats sending chills down your spine at the moment, in a good way of course :) Then just say why and any other info you wish to share.

I'll start off with.....

Martina Topley Bird - OMFG there is a God! This extremely talented, red hot solo artisit has just released her debut album in the UK. The style is kind of like Bjork/Emilliana torrini (both absolutely amazing artists if I might say so) mixed with a more urban edge. Her vocals are always top notch and amaze me even though I've listened to her tracks toooo many times! "Too tough to die" for example is a really rough and gritty song which features a dirty driving guitar riff topped off with MTB's strong vocals coming through over the top of a sample saying TOO TOUGH TO DIEmmmm very nice! Then on the other end of the musical spectrum is lullaby which is so soft and gentle you're scared to turn the volume up incase it breaks the soothing sound of her vocals. Altogether and amazing new artist BUY HER ALBUM NOW!1!!!!!11!!!1!!!!!!!!!

Ok next is......

Muse - This is a UK rock band who are made up of three members. The vocals of lead singer Matt Bellamy are, well, unique! This backed up with amazingly catchy guitar riffs makes them one of my favourite rock bands. I never used to listen to them even though they've been round for quite a few years but after buying their new album i've invested in their older ones too. Theres simply too many good tracks to mention but if you have to get a few then go for "plug in baby", "Time is running out" or "Citizen erased" (3 of my favs)

Well thats it really! Write as much or as little (or nothing  :-\) as you like  ;D

I listen mostly to movie soundtracks so I listen to whatever's played on that.  I don't know most of bands that play on movie soundtracks, but Evanescence, off of the DareDevil soundtrack, was simply breathtaking.

The lead vocalist, Amy Lee, has an incredibly beautiful voice.  It's crisp, it's clean and the tone is very pure.  The opening of Bring Me To Life is haunting.  And the melody and use of strings in My Immortal gives me chills.

I like pretty much all of the songs on the album.  But she really excels at the slower songs.  Her voice is best suited for those and those songs are powerful and haunting.

I found out that she wrote most of the songs and did the arranging for them - she IS talented!

I'm definitely digging the Kill Bill soundtrack.  Tarantino always has good music in his films.

I've never been to one that counts... except perhaps a Peter Paul and Mary concert a couple years ago. ;) I've never been to one of those concerts where everyone's all crazy and stuff and waving their arms in the air and the band's like really popular and stuff.

Nah, don't think I ever will. Concerts are much more fun when they happen to other people. I honestly can't see myself going all crazy and waving my arms in the air in a big crowd of people doing the same  ::)
Actually, I don't like the idea of me doing anything in a big crowd of people doing the same  :P

I've only been to a few concerts, but none of them were really wild or crazy. ;D  The first one was a big one with a bunch of artists, but the only popular ones I remember were the Fugees and Cypress Hill.  Then a few years ago I went to a Janet Jackson concert, that one was pretty nice.  :P

In September this year I went to a little one in the park around here (my roomate got free tickets).  It was a weekend long thing with a lot of different artists, but I just went for the few that I liked and wanted to hear (Choclair, The Rascalz and Naughty By Nature).  It was pretty entertaining, but the promoter said something like he couldn't afford to pay the artists.  Some artists were like "well, we're not getting any money from this, but we're doing this anyway for all the fans out there!".  It was nice, it reminded me of the motivation for this KQ9 project.  But, other artists didn't want to play because they weren't getting paid.  Since my ticket was free I didn't really care, but I would have been really pissed if I paid for a concert and the people I wanted to see never showed up.   >:(

Anyway, I usually go to concerts to hear songs I like and to be entertained.  I don't go psycho or anything at them, even if I'm surrounded by those kinds of people. ;D  That's not really my personality.  Now if I were drunk and surrounded by them...  8)

I don't take kindly to orders. In fact, the harder people insist, the less I am likely to do it. If I have to do it, I will postpone as long as I can.
Besides, I'm not a concert person either.

Weeeell. I've been to many barbershop concerts. The fun part about barbershop concerts is that *everybody* gets to go "backstage" if they want. Most choruses will have an after concert party called an "afterglow" where the chorus, chorus quartets, and feature quartets sing a few more off-the-cuff numbers, and then if you want you can shmooze with the feature quartets (read: the "famous" ones. <G>) and try to sing with them, or get autographs or something. Fun.

As for actual more "commercial" singers/bands... well, I did go to a barbershop show with Rockapella as the featured singers. Ohhhh, that was sweet! I thought their tenor Scott was sexy before, but ooooooh can that guy *dance*! (drool) Unfortunately, the show was in Rhode Island, so we didn't get to attend the afterglow because we needed to make the long trek home. (Actually I can't even remember if they had one.)

Other than that, nada. Either there's just nobody performing in my neck of the woods, or I have no money for a ticket. Like right now, The Barenaked Ladies are performing at UMass in Amherst. But do I have any money to go? Nope. Blah.

* copycat 's cats go around hassling the other board members to be kind a make a donation so Jeysie can go to the concert.

I would :-*, but I don't see how I could transfer the money from Flanders to MA, USA. :-\
BTW, I have no idea who the Barenaked Ladies are, my guess is they don't have a distributing company in Flanders, Europa. :-[

BNL is performing at UMass AMherst?????  Ooo!!! I wanna go...but need to buy xmas gifts. Drat!

They're AWESOME live. I've seen them twice at Tweeter Center (which should SO still be called Great Woods, sigh...). So much fun! I love that their songs are about the most random things - for example, their latest CD has songs about chimps...  ;D

next years genna be great for concerts for me. To start off in January going to see Amy Winehouse, a new soul/blues artist with a slight hint of billie Holiday type vocals thrown in. All for the bargain sum of £8!!!

Next in February I'm going to see air, who admittedly I've only heard one or two songs of but they're meant to be amazing live and my mates a massive fan of theirs so should be good.

Then in March I'm going to see Zero 7  8) Ultimate chill/blues/jazzy Dj's who are just one of my favourite bands since last year. Then also in March I'm (finally after missing two previous gigs!) seeing P!nk.

Wow nice Lyrics there! You got any demos done yet or you just jamming for fun? Heh I can never get lyrics but I can always get tunes, quite annoying really.

Still I've just written a new song for the band I'm in (which now consists of 2 members eek :o) about a girlfriedn who has an affair with a teacher which is quite amusing.  I'm still in the very early learning stage of guitar and im starting bass soon too so atm I'm just on vocals.
