I was looking at the king's quest 1 cover and I noticed the picture in the magic mirror for the first time. Is that supposed to be a reference to king's quest II? Cause if so, that is really cool.

Well you see Graham as king and on the end of king's quest 1 Graham becomes the king. So it's not really a reference to king's quest II. In the story before the game the old king has already seen that Graham would be king but he tought that the one shown in the mirror would be his sun. Later when he becomes old and loses all the 3 treasures of Daventry he sees it wasn't his sun but it was Graham.

Yes but there appears to be a lady's head looking down over him.

That's what made me think it was from KQII. Although it looks kind of weird cause the top of his head looks chopped off.

LOL You're right his head is cut off. There is a clear line where they merged the two pictures of him and her together.
