Prehaps a foolish question

Would it be possible to have TSL packaged with an OS at any point, like pinball and solitaire? I have no idea how those games are selected or what the IP implications would be with VU, but if it became part of a windows or linux it would get TSL on a deuce of a lot more systems than could be dreamed of otherwise. :)

Probably totally impractical, but I like thinking outside the box. :P

LOL!  That would be awesome! XD

But besides IP issues, TSL would probably end up being larger than the OS itself. XB

XD True. Would zipping the program or somesuch shrinking be possible?  Pardon my technical ignorance if the answer to that is obvious. ;P

And as for IP, my guess is it would be easy enough to get VU to go along with anything you want for the game if you put their name in it someplace. Even in the credits, IP donated by VU, or somesuch.  Esp if you got in in Windows. The VU name in almost every computer in the world, all at absolutely no cost. Who would say no to that?

I was talking about the compressed version of the game. :P  It's already several hundred megs, so the full game would be at least a gig or two. XB

VU would probably want to receive some sort of commission from the sales of the OS.  It's one thing for them to let us use their IP for free, but another to let a company profit from them. :P

Also, Microsoft was sued by the Department of Justice several years ago for including Internet Explorer with their OS, basically because they were using their monopolizing power to dominate the web browser market.  In our case, plenty of game companies would threaten to sue Microsoft for choosing our game over theirs, for the same reason.

Minesweeper was Microsoft's own creation (as far as I know), while Solitaire and Freecell are in the public domain.  TSL on the other hand is a massive beast, in comparison.  With all the legal issues relating to IP ownership, the chances of it happening are very small.  It's more likely that Microsoft includes KQPong with their OS than TSL.
